Ashford, Multiple Temporary Traffic Regulation Notices

What is happening?

Highways

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

ASHFORD AREA

BENENDEN ROAD, BIDDENDEN, TN27 8BU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER DECEMBER 2023

To allow pole installation works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Benenden Road, Biddenden, on or after 8th December 2023, for up to one day, between the hours of 09.30 and 15.30, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of The Priory, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Tenterden Road, Cranbrook Road, Rolvenden Road, West Cross, High Street, East Cross, Ashford Road, Silver Hill, Grange Road, Biddenden Road, High Halden Lane, Benenden Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

CHARING HEATH ROAD, CHARING. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER DECEMBER 2023

To allow new connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Charing Heath Road, Charing, on or after 4th December 2023, for up to 3 days, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of “Lucerne”, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Pluckley Road, Charing Road, Egerton Road, New Road, The Street, Stonebridge Green Road, Coach Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

CHART ROAD, ASHFORD. TN23 3HW (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER DECEMBER 2023

To allow bridge inspection works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Chart Road, Ashford, from 22.00 hours on 7th December 2023, with estimated completion by 06.00 hours on 8th December 2023, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of the bridge, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic:-

East bound diversion is via Chart Road, Chart Road Roundabout, Templer Way, Simone Weil Roundabout, Maidstone Road South Of Simone Weil Roundabout, Warren Lane, Maidstone Road and New Street.

West bound diversion is via Chart Road, Maidstone Road South of Simone Weil Roundabout, Simone Weil Roundabout, Templar Way and Chart Road Roundabout.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

EGERTON HOUSE ROAD, EGERTON. TN27 9BG (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER DECEMBER 2023

To allow utility works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Egerton House Road, Egerton, on or after 18th December 2023, for up to 5 days, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of Lark Hill Farm, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Link Hill Lane, Crocken Hill Road, Coldbridge Lane, Egerton House Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

NEW BARN ROAD, HASTINGLEIGH. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER DECEMBER 2023

To allow installation works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of New Barn Hill, Hastingleigh, on or after 18th December 2023, for up to 3 days, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction with Pilgrims Way, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via The Street, Wye Road, Coldharbour Lane, Amage Road, Brabourne Road, Pilgrims Way and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

OXENTURN ROAD, WYE. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER DECEMBER 2023

To allow renewal works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Oxenturn Road, Wye, on or after 20th December 2023, for up to one day, between the hours of 08.30 and 16.30, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction with Upper Bridge Street, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Bridge Street, Church Street, Churchfield Way, Harville Road, Canterbury Road, Willesborough Road, Kennington Road, The Street, Hinxhill Road, Hinxhill Road From Junction With Goodcheap Lane To Nackolt Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

ROAD FROM NACCOLT ROAD TO BLACKWALL ROAD, WYE. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER DECEMBER 2023

To allow maintenance works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on the Road From Naccolt Road To Blackwall Road, Wye, on or after 7th December 2023, with estimated completion by 9th December 2023, between the hours of 08.00 and 18.00, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed for the entire length, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Naccolt Road, Blackwall Road, Naccolt Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

WASSALL LANE, ROLVENDEN. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER DECEMBER 2023

To allow pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Wassall Lane, Rolvenden, on or after 6th December 2023, with estimated completion by 7th December 2023, between the hours of 09.30 and 15.30, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction with Frogs Lane, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Frogs Lane, Hastings Road, Wassall Lane and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

WORTEN ROAD, GREAT CHART. TN23 3BS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER DECEMBER 2023

To allow maintenance works to be carried, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Worten Road, Great Chart, on or after 18th December 2023, for up to 3 days, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of North Barn, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Godinton Lane, Water Fall Road, Park Drive, The Street, School Road, Station Road, Maidstone Road, Maidstone Road North Of Drovers Roundabout, Simone Weil Roundabout, Templer Way, Chart Road Roundabout, Chart Road, Great Chart Bypass, Ninn Lane, Worten Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
