Darlington, Temporary Traffic Restrictions Due To Gas works
What is happening?
DARLINGTON BOROUGH COUNCIL ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) 2023 MALIM ROAD, McMULLEN ROAD AND TEAL ROAD, DARLINGTON
Darlington Borough Council intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under the provisions of Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be:
McMULLEN ROAD
ONE WAY - from the north side of Malim Road junction southwards to its junction with Yarm Road
An alternative route will be signed via Yarm Road, Lingfield Way, Allington Way.
MALIM ROAD
ROAD CLOSURE - from its junction with McMullen Road westwards to the eastern boundary of 88 Malim Road
It is anticipated that these restrictions will be effective for 3 weeks commencing 2nd January 2024.
TEAL ROAD
ROAD CLOSURE - From its junction with Yarm Road northwards for 20metres
An alternative route will be signed via Yarm Road, McMullen Road, Malim Road and vice versa.
It is anticipated that the closure will be effective for 2 weeks commencing 5th February 2024.
The Order is necessary to allow works by Northern Gas Networks to replace a gas main.
The maximum duration of the temporary restrictions under this Order is 18 months
commencing from 2nd January 2024.
