What is happening?
CAMBRIDGESHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
NOTICE is given that Cambridgeshire County Council intends after seven days, to make an Order pursuant to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, the effect of which:
Gull Drove, Guyhirn (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2023-1369
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Gull Drove, Guyhirn as lies between Keepers Cottage and Roans Devon. The alternative route for vehicles is via B1187 – A47 – Black Drove – Gull Drove and vice versa . The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate a new water connection and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 12 December 2023 and continue until these works have finished or on the 11 June 2025 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 12 December and 14 December 2023.
Cant’s Drove, Murrow (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2023-1392
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Cant’s Drove, Murrow as lies between Long Drove and Black Drove. The alternative route for vehicles is via Cants Drove – Black Drove (C32) – Hook Drove – Long Drove and vice versa.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate carriageway repairs and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 11 December 2023 and continue until these works have finished or on the 10 June 2025 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 07:00hrs and 19:00hrs 11 December to 21 December 2023.
Wype Road, Eastrea (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2023-1395
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Wype Road, Eastrea as lies between Mayfield Road and Ashtree Farm. The alternative route for vehicles is via B1093 – A605 and vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate reinstatement defect repairs and associated works which are being carried
out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 6 December 2023 and continue until these works have finished or on the 5 June 2025 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 08:00hrs and 17:00hrs6December to 8 December 2023.
Station Road, Wisbech St Mary (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2023-1360
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Station Road, Wisbech St Mary as lies between Manor House and Volmary. The alternative route for vehicles is via B1166 – Sandbank – B1542 and vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate fire hydrant installation and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 4 December 2023 and continue until these works have finished or on the 3 June 2025 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 4 December and 6 December 2023.
Rectory Gardens, Wisbech (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE) ORDER 2023-1365
Is to stop any pedestrian from proceeding along Rectory Gardens, Wisbech as lies between numbers 313 and 317. The alternative route for pedestrians will be as signed. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate telecommunications and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 11 December 2023 and continue until these works have finished or on the 10 June 2024 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 11 December and 15 December 2023. Access will be maintained to properties affected by these orders.
The above orders shall not apply to any persons lawfully engaged in connection with any works for which these are made, any member of the Police Force, Fire and Rescue Service, Ambulance Service, a vehicle being used by Special Forces during the execution of their duties or to any person
acting with the permission or upon the direction of a Police Officer in uniform.
