What is happening?
Essex County Council
(Remote Footway, Gibraltar Walk, Wickford) (Temporary Prohibition of Use) Order 2023
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended).
Effect of the order: To temporarily close Remote Footway, Gibraltar Walk, Wickford in the Borough of Basildon, from a point approximately 6 metres from the High Street, southeast for approximately 31 metres.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 29 November 2023 09:00 to 14:00 or where appropriate signs are showing and weather permitting.
The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while the removal of a diseased tree is undertaken.
Alternative route will be signed on site.
The Order will come into effect on 29 November 2023 and may continue in force for 6 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Dry Street, Langdon Hills) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Dry Street, Langdon Hills in the Borough of Basildon, from its junction with One Tree Hill to its junction with Southway a distance of approximately 600m.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 7th December 2023 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC008OGEA10627491 - Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network.
The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while fibre overhead cabling works are undertaken by Openreach.
An alternative route is available via Dry Street, Nether Mayne, Fobbing Farm Roundabout, Roundacre New Roundabout, Laindon Link, Laindon Link Roundabout, Staneway, High Road and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 16th November 2023 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Hyde Wood Lane, Canewdon) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Hyde Wood Lane, Canewdon in the District of Rochford, from a point approximately 400m south of its junction with Lark Hill Road for a distance of approximately 60m in a southerly direction.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 7th December 2023 for 7 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30083692463 - UK Power Networks). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network.
The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.
An alternative route is available via Apton Hall Road, Scotts Hall Road, Lark Hill Road and vice versa (with access only into Hyde Wood Lane).
The Order came into effect on 16th November 2023 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Nether Mayne, Basildon) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) of (Directional Left Hand Lane Only) Order 2023
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Nether Mayne, Basildon (directional left-hand lane only) in the Borough of Basildon, from a point approximately 185m northwest of its junction with Dry Street for a distance of approximately 185m in a northwesterly direction.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 4th December 2023 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (YN125BAN002-PGN/AC-L-S - MBNL). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network.
The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while TX & power cabs site transfer works are undertaken by MBNL.
An alternative route is available via Nether Mayne, Fobbing Farm Roundabout and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 16th November 2023 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Raphaels & Rise Park, Laindon) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Temporary Introduction of a Clearway) Order 2023
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily close that length of Raphaels, Laindon in the Borough of Basildon, from its junction with Rise Park to its end a distance of approximately 325m.
2. To temporarily close that length of Rise Park, Laindon in the Borough of Basildon, from its junction with Falstones to its end a distance of approximately 170m.
3. To temporarily introduce a 'No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping in the above lengths of road for the duration of the closures only.
"The Essex County Council (Basildon Borough) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019" will be temporarily amended to include the temporary 'No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping at Any Time' restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above lengths of road only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.
The closures are scheduled to commence on 4th December 2023 for 96 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2353565 & EH2353564 - Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network.
The closures are required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway, footway and kerbs maintenance works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
No alternative route is available.
The Order came into effect on 16th November 2023 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
