What is happening?

BRIGHTON & HOVE CITY COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

NOTICE is hereby given that Brighton & Hove City Council("the Council") proposes to make the Orders named below under the relevant sections of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which if they come into force will introduce various changes to the waiting or parking restrictions in the part or parts of the roads identified:

BRIGHTON & HOVE OUTER AREAS (WAITING, LOADING AND PARKING) AND CYCLE LANES CONSOLIDATION ORDER 2018 AMENDMENT ORDER NO.* 202* (REF: TRO-50A-2023)

  • Access Road off Foredown Drive, Aucklanc Drive, Court Farm Road, Darcey Drive, Downland Road, Downsview, Frant Road, Godwin Road, Hangleton Valley Drive, Martin Road, Nevill Close, The Hyde & Vale Avenue - Proposed double yellow lines (No Waiting At Any Time)
  • Clarendon Place (Portslade), Heyworth Close, Ladies Mile Road & Mile Oak Road - Proposed extension to double yellow lines (No Waiting At Any Time)
  • Roedean Road - Clarifying the descriptions of the double yellow lines (No Waiting At Any Time) on the order (no change on ground)
  • Ladies Mile Road - Proposed removal of single yellow line
  • Windlesham Close - Clarifying the descriptions of the existing disabled parking bay on the order (no change on ground)
  • Godwin Road - Amending the description existing disabled parking bays
  • Applesham Way, Ashurst Road, Bankside, Barnet Way, Bellingham Crescent, Brambledean Road, Chrisdory Road, Cowley Drive, Crespin Way, Crown Road (Portslade), Downland Crescent, Downland Drive, Easthill Drive, Hertford Road, Hollingdean Terrace, Langley Crescent, Littleworth Close, Melrose Avenue, Moyne Close, North Lane, Oakdene Crescent, Poplar Avenue, Rowan Avenue, Rowan Close, Sherbourne Road, Spencer Avenue, Stanmer Park Road, Stapley Road, Staplefield Drive, Stephens Road, Stonery Road, Thorndean Road, Warmdene Close, Widdicombe Way, Wilmington Close & Windlesham Close - Proposed disabled parking bays
  • 7 Barnett Road, 12 Cliff Road, 37 Dale Crescent, 32 Dale View, 18 Drove Crescent, 24 Greenbank Avenue, 31 Middleton Rise, 12 Oakdene Avenue, 12 Rotherfield Crescent, 62 Sandhurst Avenue, opposite 24 & 37 Shelldale Avenue, 1 Sherbourne Way, 9 St Michael's Road, 14 Stanstead Crescent, 49 Swanborough Drive & (rear of No.15 Warbleton Close) Whitehawk Crescent -Proposed removal of disabled parking bays
  • Hallyburton Road - Removing from this order as now in Controlled Parking Zone 11

BRIGHTON & HOVE SEAFRONT (VARIOUS RESTRICTIONS) CONSOLIDATION ORDER 2018 AMENDMENT ORDER NO.* 202* (REF: TRO-50B-2023)

  • Madeira Drive - Clarifying the description of the existing loading bay on the Order (no change on ground)

A copy of this Notice, the proposed Orders, plans showing the lengths of road affected and a statement of the Council's reasons for proposing to make the Orders may be seen online at www.brighton-hove.gov.uk/current-tros. All objections and other representations relating to the proposed Orders must be made in writing and all objections must specify the grounds on which they are made and should be sent to the Executive Director Economy, Environment & Culture, Brighton & Hove City Council Parking Design & Implementation, Room G40, Hove Town Hall, Norton Road Hove, BN3 3BQ quoting the TRO reference number shown above or by e-mail to TROcomment@brighton-hove.gov.uk or online (see details above) no later than 15 December 2023.
