What is happening?

GORCHYMYN TRAFFIG DROS DRO CYNGOR BWRDEISTREF SIROL PEN-Y-BONT AR OGWR (CEMETERY ROAD, PEN-Y-BONT AR OGWR) 2023 HYSBYSIR DRWY HYN fod y Cyngor, sef yr Awdurdod Priffyrdd ar gyfer Pen-y-bont ar Ogwr, drwy arfer ei bwerau o dan Adran 14(1) o Ddeddf Rheoleiddio Traffig Ffyrdd 1984 (fel y’i diwygiwyd) wedi gwneud Gorchymyn a fydd dros dro yn cyflwyno’r cyfyngiad a nodir yn yr atodlen isod. Mae angen y Gorchymyn oherwydd gwaith archwilio manwl ar wal gynnal (tua 90 metr o hyd) ar droed o lefel y llawr, gan ddefnyddio ysgolion os bydd eu hangen ac mae er budd diogelwch y cyhoedd. Daw’r Gorchymyn i rym ar 06/12/2023 a bydd yn parhau mewn grym am ddeunaw mis ar y mwyaf neu nes bod y gwaith wedi ei gwblhau, p’un bynnag a ddaw yn gyntaf. Rhagwelir y bydd y gwaith arfaethedig yn cael ei wneud rhwng 23:00 o’r gloch a 06:00 o’r gloch rhwng 06/12/2023 a 07/12/2023. Atodlen-Ni chaiff neb beri i unrhyw gerbyd fynd ar hyd Cemetery Road, Pen-y-bont ar Ogwr. Effeithir ar 90 metr o ffordd a 45 metr o boptu i’r bont reilffordd. Y llwybr amgen i gerbydau yw ar hyd Cemetery Road, Heol Coety, Boulevard de Villenave d’Ornon, Heol Quarella ac i’r gwrthwyneb.Bydd mynediad ar gael drwy’r cyfyngiad i’r Heddlu a’r Gwasanaethau Tân ac Ambiwlans yn ymateb i argyfyngau. Bydd mynediad i gerddwyr i bob eiddo o fewn y cyfyngiad yn dal ar gael ar hyd llwybrau diffiniedig drwy gydol y cyfnod cau. Er hynny, ni fydd y cyfyngiad yn gymwys ond ar yr adegau ac i’r graddau a nodir o bryd i’w gilydd gan arwyddion traffig a ragnodir gan Reoliadau a Chyfarwyddiadau Cyffredinol Arwyddion Traffig 2016. BRIDGEND COUNTY BOROUGH COUNCIL (CEMETERY ROAD, BRIDGEND) TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ORDER 2023
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council as the Highway Authority for Bridgend in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) has made an Order which temporarily introduces the restriction set out in the schedule below. The Order is necessary due to detailed examination of retaining wall (approximately 90 meters long) on foot from ground level, using ladders if required and is in the interest of public safety. The Order will come into force on the 06/12/2023 and will continue in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until such time as the works are completed, whichever is the sooner. It is anticipated the planned works will be undertaken between the hours of 23:00 and 06:00 from the 06/12/2023 to 07/12/2023.Schedule-No person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Cemetery Road, Bridgend. There is 90 meters of road affected and 45 meters either side of the railway bridge. The alternative route for vehicles is via Cemetery road, Coity Road, Boulevard de villenave dornon, Quarella Road and vice versa. Access will be provided through the restriction for Police, Fire and Ambulance Services responding to emergencies. Pedestrian access to all properties within the restriction will be maintained along defined routes throughout the period of the closure. The restrictions shall however only apply at such time and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by The Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
