C399 WOODHORN ROAD ASHINGTON
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2023
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the C399 Woodhorn Road Ashington from its junction with the A197 Hirst Roundabout heading westwards for a distance of 900 metres in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 11th December 2023 until the 11th June 2024.
It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 11th December 2023 until the 23rd December 2023 between the hours of 09:00 and 15:30 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until the 11th June 2024.
The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via the A197, A196, C399 heading west and C399 A196 C401, U6712, U6703 heading south.

The closure has been requested by Northumberland County Council to carry out carriageway resurfacing and footway construction works.
In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.
