What is happening?
WEST NORTHAMPTONSHIRE COUNCIL
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14 (KENMUIR CRESCENT, NORTHAMPTON) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2023
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that West Northamptonshire Council intend, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit traffic from proceeding along that length of Kenmuir Crescent, Northampton as set out below.
LENGTH OF ROAD TO WHICH RESTRICTION APPLIES: That length of Kenmuir Crescent, Northampton from the junction of Kenmuir Avenue to Kenmuir Avenue.
REASON FOR RESTRICTION: The restriction is required for safety during carriageway repairs.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: The proposed Order will come into effect on 11th December 2023 and will continue in force for a period of eighteen months. An application may be made for the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport for the Order to be extended if this proves necessary. However, the restriction specified will have effect only at such times and to such an extent as is indicated by the display of signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
EXPECTED DURATION: It is expected that the road will be restricted for five days.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: use Kenmuir Avenue.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14 (DOVECOTE ROAD, ROADE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2023
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that West Northamptonshire Council have made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit traffic from proceeding along that length of Dovecote Road, Roade as set out below.
LENGTH OF ROAD TO WHICH RESTRICTION APPLIES: That length of Dovecote Road, Roade from outside number 17.
REASON FOR RESTRICTION: The restriction is required for safety during repair works.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: The proposed Order will come into effect on 4th December 2023 and will continue in force for a period of eighteen months. An application may be made for the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport for the Order to be extended if this proves necessary. However, the restriction specified will have effect only at such times and to such an extent as is indicated by the display of signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
EXPECTED DURATION: It is expected that the road will be restricted for three days.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: use Blisworth Road and Hyde Road.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14 (NASEBY ROAD, THORNBY) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2023
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that West Northamptonshire Council have made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit traffic from proceeding along that length of Naseby Road, Thornby as set out below.
LENGTH OF ROAD TO WHICH RESTRICTION APPLIES: That length of Naseby Road, Thornby between entrance to Thornby Hall.
REASON FOR RESTRICTION: The restriction is required for safety during drainage works.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: The proposed Order will come into effect on 27th November 2023 and will continue in force for a period of eighteen months. An application may be made for the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport for the Order to be extended if this proves necessary. However, the restriction specified will have effect only at such times and to such an extent as is indicated by the display of signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
EXPECTED DURATION: It is expected that the road will be restricted for up to three days.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: use Thornby Road, Nutcote, Cold Ashby Road, Naseby Road, Northampton Road and Welford Road.
