Breck Hill Road - Road Closure to Enable Works to Be Carried Out
What is happening?

WOODTHORPE)
(TEMPORARY
PROHIBITION OF
DRIVING) ORDER
2023 (G23-163)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN
that the Nottinghamshire
County Council intends not
less than seven days from the
date of this Notice to make an
Order, under Section 14(1) of
the Road Traffic Regulation Act
1984, as amended, in respect
of roads at Woodthorpe in the
Borough of Gedling.
The effects of the Order will be:
1. Vehicles are prohibited
from proceeding in the following
length of road:
a. Breck Hill Road - from its
junction with B684 Plains Road
to its junction with Greengates
Avenue.
2. All existing permanent
restrictions will be temporarily
suspended as required.
3. The restrictions specified
above shall only be in effect
when the signs are in place.
IT IS INTENDED that the
prohibitions respecting the
above road or roads will apply
as follows:
From 09:00 hours on Monday
4th December 2023
Until 16:30 hours on Friday
8th December 2023
AND NOTICE IS HEREBY
FURTHER GIVEN that during
the period of restriction the
alternative route available
will be:
A6211 Thackerays Lane -
A6211 Arno Vale Road - A6211
Gedling Road (Arnold) - B684
Plains Road (Mapperley) and
vice versa.
The Order will come into force
on 4th December 2023 and
any prohibition in it shall apply
on that day and any subsequent
day when necessary to enable
works to be carried out. The
Order shall continue in force
until the works are completed
(within a maximum period of 18
months).
The prohibition is required
to enable National Grid to
carry out the install of a new
low voltage service cable;
