What is happening?

ROTHERHAM METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1) PART OF NORTH ROAD AND PART OF FAR CRESCENT EAST DENE ROTHERHAM (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the two parts of road specified in the Schedule to this Notice from Wednesday 29th. November until Friday 1st. December 2023.

The reason for the prohibitions is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the two parts of road (Telecom works).

SCHEDULE

(i)    North Road from its westerly junction with Far Lane for distance of 65m in a westerly direction (the alternative route is via Far Lane, A630 Doncaster Road, First Avenue and vice versa).

(ii)   Far Crescent at its junction with North Road (the alternative route is via Far  Lane and vice versa).

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1) PART OF A631 BAWTRY ROAD AND PART OF ATLAS STREET BRINSWORTH ROTHERHAM (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the two parts of road specified in the Schedule to this Notice from 11.45pm on Monday 27th November until 3.30am on Tuesday 28th August 2023.

NOTICE is further given that the alternative route is via A631 Bawtry Road Brinsworth, A630 Centenary Way, Ickles Roundabout, A6178 Sheffield Road, Sheffield Road Bradmarsh Roundabout, Sheffield Road Ickles Way Roundabout, A631 M1 J34 South Roundabout, A631 Bawtry Road, Tinsley and vice versa.

The reason for the prohibitions is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the two parts of road (remedial works to manhole cover).

SCHEDULE

(i)    A631 Bawtry Road from its junction with Whitehill Road to its junction with  Brinsworth Lane.

(ii)   Atlas Street at its junction with A631 Bawtry Road.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1) PART OF STEEL STREET HOLMES ROTHERHAM (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that part of Steel Street from its junction with Holmes Lane to a point on Steel Street 50 metres in a southerly direction from 11.00pm on Saturday 25th. November until 9am on Sunday  26th. November 2023.

NOTICE is further given that there is no alternative route for traffic affected by  the order.

Reason for the prohibition - because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (Level crossing works).

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1) PART OF BYRON CRESCENT PART OF DRYDEN ROAD PART OF BLAKE AVENUE AND PART OF COLERIDGE ROAD WEST MELTON ROTHERHAM (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the four parts of road specified in the Schedule to this Notice for periods of time between Monday  27th. November and Thursday 21st. December 2023.

NOTICE is further given that the alternative route for vehicles affected by the Order is via local neighbouring streets except for cul de sacs.

The reason for the prohibitions is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the parts of road (Telecom works).

SCHEDULE

(i)    Byron Crescent from its junction with Oaklea Avenue to its junction with Dryden Road.

(ii)   Dryden Road from its junction with Albert Road to its junction with Burns Way.

(iii)   Blake Avenue from its junction with Grove Road to the end of the cul de sac.

(iv)   Coleridge Road from its junction with Grove Road to its junction with Christchurch Road.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1) CLIFTON BANK CLIFTON ROTHERHAM (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along Clifton Bank from its junction with A6178 Wellgate for a distance of approximately 125m in a north easterly direction on Monday 27th. November 2023.

NOTICE is further given that there is no alternative route for vehicles affected by the Order, the road is a cul de sac.

The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (permanent reinstatement following water main burst).

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1) PART OF TOAD LANE BRAMPTON EN- LE- MORTHEN ROTHERHAM (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that part of Toad Lane from a point 190m east of its junction with Wood Lane/Brampton for a distance of approximately 100m in a south easterly direction from Monday 27th. November until Friday 1st. December 2023.

NOTICE is further given that the alternative route is via B6060 Green Arbour Road, Katherine Road, Brampton Road and vice versa.

The reason for the prohibitions is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (Electrical works).

THE ROTHERHAM BOROUGH COUNCIL (VARIOUS ROADS, ROTHERHAM) (TRAFFIC REGULATION) (CONSOLIDATION) ORDER 2011 (AMENDMENT NO. 130) ORDER  2023

No waiting at any time North Street Thornhill Rotherham

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council as highway authority  for the Borough of Rotherham has made the above-mentioned Order on the  22nd. November 2023 and which comes into effect on the 27th. November 2023.

Notice of the proposal for making the Order was published in the Rotherham Advertiser on the 5th. October 2023 specified below:-

(i)    Revoke ‘No Waiting at Any Time’ restrictions affecting the parts of road  specified in Schedule 1 to this notice;

(ii)   Introduce ‘No Waiting at any Time’ to the parts of road specified in Schedule 2  to this notice;

Schedule 1 No Waiting At Any Time

North Street, Thornhill, Rotherham

The North West side from its junction with the extended North Eastern kerb line of Tenter Street for a distance of 33 metres in a North then North Easterly direction.

The South East side from its junction with the extended North Eastern kerb line of Tenter Street to its terminus in a North Easterly direction and return to North Western kerbline of North Street.

No Waiting At Any Time

North Street, Thornhill, Rotherham

The North West side from its junction with the extended North Eastern kerb line of Tenter Street for a distance of 11 metres in a North then North Easterly direction.

The South East side from its junction with the extended North Eastern kerb line of Tenter Street for a distance of 30 metres in a North then North Easterly direction.

The South East side from a point 120 metres from the junction with the extended

North Eastern kerb line of Tenter Street for a distance of 34 metres in a North then North Easterly direction and return to North Western kerbline of North Street.

Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or its provisions on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended or that a requirement of that Act or of any relevant regulations made there under has not been complied with in any way, may within 6 weeks from the date on which the Order was made, make application for that purpose to the High Court.
