Storforth Lane - Temporary Road Closure
What is happening?
DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
STORFORTH LANE, CHESTERFIELD
WHEN: 9th December 2023 to 10th December 2023 (22:00 to 06:00)
WHERE: Storforth Lane, Chesterfield between its junction with Britannia Road and its junction with Ingleton Road.
REASON: To facilitate rail bridge maintenance works.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Clockwise - Storforth Lane (from point of closure), A61, Hornsbridge Interchange, A617, St Leonards Drive, Hasland Road, The Green, Storforth Lane (to point of closure).
Anti-clockwise - Storforth Lane (from point of closure), The Green, Hasland Road, A617, Hornsbridge Interchange, A61, Storforth Lane (to point of closure).
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road. The road will re-open as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised.
Derbyshire County Council apologises for any inconvenience caused while work takes place. Anyone needing further information should ring Call Derbyshire on 01629 533190. The County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
