Public Notices for Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders
The following public notices shall be served on Thursday 23 November 2023:
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Milton Keynes City Council has on 21 November 2023 made the following temporary traffic regulation Orders under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:
Traffic Regulation Order 1:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (PERCHERON PLACE, DOWNS BARN) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2023 (Reference: TTRO-1850)
The effect of the above Order will be to close the following length of road:
Percheron Place, Downs Barn – From its junction with Downs Barn Boulevard for approximately 35 meters on both sides of Percheron Place.
Whilst the above length of road is closed the alternative route will be via Bayard Avenue, Martingale Place, Downs Barn Boulevard (and vice versa).
The above closure will take effect from 27 November 2023 to 08 December 2023 (24 hours of every day).
The above closure is necessary to enable ESP Electricity Ltd to carry out installation of cabling and excavation works for EV Car Charging Point.
Traffic Regulation Order 2:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (CHILDS WAY, CAMPBELL PARK) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2023 (Reference: TTRO-1852)
The effect of the above Order will be to close the following length of road:
Childs Way, Campbell Park (Westbound) – From its junction with South Overgate Roundabout to its junction with South Enmore Roundabout.
Whilst the above length of road is closed the alternative route will be via the Childs Way, Marlborough Street, Chaffron Way, Brickhill Street (and vice versa).
The above closure will take effect on 27 and 28 November 2023 (between the hours of 09:00am and 16:30pm each day).
The above closure is necessary to allow THREE to carry out installation of new telecoms pole and cab and testing with use of a crane.
Traffic Regulation Order 3:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (MARLBOROUGH STREET H7 TO H8 (NORTHBOUND) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2023 (Reference: TTRO-1894)
The effect of the above Order will be to close the following length of road:
Marlborough Street (V8) (Northbound) – From its junction with Standing Way to its junction with Chaffron Way.
Whilst the above closure is in place the alternative route will be via Standing Way, Saxon Street and Chaffron Way.
The above closure will take place on 30 November 2023 (between the hours of 09:00am and 16:30pm).
The above closure is necessary to facilitate Hutchinson 3G installing a telecoms pole and cabinet.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Milton Keynes City Council intends, in not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the below traffic regulation Orders under Sections 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:
Traffic Regulation Order 1:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (VARIOUS ROADS IN OLNEY) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2023 (Reference: TTRO-1871)
The effect of the above Order will be to close the following lengths of road from 04 to 18 December 2023 (24 hours of every day):
East Street, Olney from its junction with Fairfield Close to its junction with Lace Mews
Whilst the following length of road is closed the alternative route will be via Silver End, Market Place, A509 High Street and Holes Lane (and vice versa).
Lime Street, Olney Between numbers 20 and 26 Lime Street
Whilst the following length of road is closed the alternative route will be via A509 Bridge Street/ High Street and Weston Road (and vice versa).
The effect of the above Order will be to close the following length of road from 08 to 27 January 2024 (24 hours of every day):
Silver End, Olney Its entire length
Whilst the following length of road is closed the alternative route will be via A509 High Street, Holes Lane and East Street (and vice versa).
The above closures are necessary to enable Cadent to carry out gas mains replacement works.
Traffic Regulation Order 2:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (FOLLY LANE, NORTH CRAWLEY) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2023 (Reference: TTRO-1856)
The effect of the above Order will be to close the following length of road:
Folly Lane, North Crawley – From its junction with High Street to its junction with Shire Lane.
Whilst the above length of road is closed the alternative route will be via Folly Lane, College Road, Crawley Road, High Street (Vice Versa).
The above closure will come into effect on 04 December 2023 (between the hours of 09:00am and 15:30pm).
The above closure is necessary to enable Openreach to install a new duct.
Traffic Regulation Order 3:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (NEWPORT ROAD (EASTBOUND), OAKRIDGE PARK) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2023 (Reference: TTRO-1854)
The effect of the above Order will be to close the following length of road:
Newport Road, Oakridge Park (Eastbound) – From its junction with Selkirk Drive to its junction with Townsend Grove.
Whilst the above length of road is closed the alternative route will be via Saxon Street, Monks Way and Grafton Street (and vice versa).
The above closure will take place on 04 and 05 December 2023 (between the hours of 09:00am and 16:30pm each day) or until the said works have been completed, whichever is the sooner.
The above closure is necessary to enable O2 to carryout upgrading works of the antennas on the column.

Public Notices for Permanent Traffic Regulation Orders
The following public notices shall be served on Thursday 23 November 2023:
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Milton Keynes City Council has on 21 November 2023 made the following Traffic Regulation Order, under Sections 1(1), 2(1) and (2), 4(2) and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (reference: TRO-370).
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (THE COUNCIL OF THE BOROUGH OF MILTON KEYNES) (VARIOUS ROADS, ROOKSLEY) (CONSOLIDATION OF WAITING RESTRICTIONS AND PROHIBITION OF RIGHT TURN) ORDER 2017) VARIATION ORDER 2023
The effect of the above proposed Order will be to extend the existing prohibition of waiting restriction on the south-east side of Patriots Drive in Rooksley, between Grafton Street and the access road leading to B&Q.
The made Order will take effect on 24 November 2023.
Any person wishing to question the validity of the made Order or any provision contained in the Orders on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act, or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act or any Instrument made under the Act has not been compiled with may, within six weeks from the date on which the Order was made, apply to the High Court for that purpose.
