ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(A682 RIBBLE VALLEY) (REVOCATION AND 50MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2023
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on 23 November 2023 Lancashire County Council made the above Speed Limit Order under Sections 82(2), 83(2) and 84 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to:
1. Revoke the following:
a) The “Lancashire County Council (A682 Hellifield Road / Settle Road, Gisburn / Paythorne, Ribble Valley Borough) (50 Mph Speed Limit) Order 2010” in full;
b) The “The Lancashire County Council (A682 Burnley Road, Gisburn, Ribble Valley Borough)(Restricted Road) Order 1994” in full.
2. Introduce a 50mph speed limit in the following lengths of road:
a) Hellifield Road, Gisburn, from a point 57 metres north of its junction with the A59 Main Street to its junction with Settle Road, Newsholme;
b) Settle Road, Newsholme, from its junction with Hellifield Road, Gisburn to its boundary with the County of North Yorkshire.
This Order will come into force on the 27 November 2023. A copy of the Order, and all other relevant documents may be inspected during normal office hours at the offices of Ribble Valley Borough Council, Council Offices, Church Walk, Clitheroe, BB7 2RA, and at the offices of The Director of Law and Governance, Lancashire County Council, County Hall, Fishergate, Preston PR1 8XJ, and on Lancashire County Councils Website http://www.lancashire.gov.uk/roads-parking-and-travel/roads/roadworks-and-trafficregulation-orders/permanent.aspx,
