What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 -
SECTION 14(1)(a) AND 7
THE A12 TRUNK ROAD (JUNCTION 19 BOREHAM
INTERCHANGE, ESSEX) (NORTHBOUND ENTRY
SLIP ROADS) (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION AND
PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2023
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways
Limited(a) has made an Order on the A12 Trunk Road in
the County of Essex to enable nearby third party works
to construct Beaulieu Railway Station and general
routine maintenance to be carried out in safety.
The works are expected to last for approximately
9 months starting on, or after, Monday 4 December 2023.
The effect of the Order on the A12 at Junction 19
Boreham Interchange, will be to –
1. impose, for 24 hours daily, a speed limit of 40
miles per hour on the northbound entry slip road
from the northern side of the A130/A138 Generals
Lane Roundabout to the centre point of Beaulieu
Parkway overbridge, and
2. close, for 24 hours daily, the northbound entry slip
road between its diverge from the A138 and its
merge with the northbound entry slip road leading
from A130/A138 Generals Lane Roundabout -
diverting traffic to continue to A130/A138 Generals
Lane Roundabout and take the first exit onto the
A12 northbound entry slip.
The temporary mandatory speed limit (which will
not apply to emergency service or special forces
vehicles), closure (which will not apply to emergency
service, traffic officer, works or winter maintenance
vehicles) and diversion route will be clearly indicated
by traffic signs.
The Order will come into force on 27 November 2023
and may continue in force until the works detailed
above have been completed, or for a maximum
duration of eighteen months whichever is the earlier.
