What is happening?

WAKEFIELD COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14 (CHURCH LANE, NORMANTON) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 280) 2023

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds to replace manhole cover & frame be carried out as follows:

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Church Lane, Normanton outside number 27 Church Lane. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Church Lane.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Wakefield Road, Queen Street, High Street, Princess Street, Church Lane & vice versa.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 11th December 2023 at 19.00 hours to 21.00 hours or until completion of the work, whichever is soonest.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(ILLINGWORTH AVENUE, NORMANTON) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 281) 2023

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds to install new telecoms pole & cab, rigging, integration & testing to be carried out as follows:

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Illingworth Avenue, Normanton approximately 45 metres from the junction of High Green Road to outside number 2 Illingworth Avenue. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Illingworth Avenue.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: N/A.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 11th December 2023 at 20.00 hours to 13th December 2023 at 06.00 hours each night or until completion of the work, whichever is soonest.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(JERRY CLAY LANE, WRENTHORPE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 282) 2023

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds for new Openreach comms connection to an existing mast to be carried out as follows:

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Jerry Clay Lane, Wrenthorpe for approximately 270 metres. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Jerry Clay Lane.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Wrenthorpe Lane, Sunny Hill, Wrenthorpe Lane, Batley Road, Brandy Carr Road & vice versa.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 11th December 2023 to 15th December 2023 or until completion of the work, whichever is soonest.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(BACK STREET BETWEEN PLUMPTON STREET & PLUMPTON TERRACE, WAKEFIELD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 284) 2023

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds to renew old lead supply pipe to be carried out as follows:

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Back Street between Plumpton Street & Plumpton Terrace, Wakefield at the junction with Plumpton Road. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Back Street between Plumpton Street & Plumpton Terrace.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Dead end. Pedestrian access will remain and a road plate will be available for residents access if required.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 11th December 2023 to 13th December 2023 or until completion of the work, whichever is soonest.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.
