diwrnod o ddyddiad yr Hysbysiad yma, o dan Adran 14 o
Ddeddf Rheoleiddio Traffig Ffyrdd 1984, fel y'i diwygiwyd gan
Ddeddf Traffig Ffyrdd (Cyfyngiadau Dros Dro) 1991, a fydd yn

RHONDDA CYNON TAFF COUNTY BOROUGH COUNCIL
(BERW ROAD BRIDGE (WHITE BRIDGE), PONTYPRIDD
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2023
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rhondda Cynon Taff
County Borough Council, intends, not less than 7 days from the
date of this Notice, to make an Order under Section 14 of the
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road
Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, which will have a
maximum duration of eighteen months.
The closure is necessary to facilitate bridge repairs
The effect of the Order will be to close the following sections of
roads: -
Phase 1
Berw Road Bridge (White Bridge) – entire bridge closed to
vehicular traffic, access maintained for pedestrians
Duration – Full Closure from 7th December 2023 to 7th January
2024
Phase 2
a. Berw Road Bridge (White Bridge) – entire bridge closed to
vehicular traffic AND pedestrians
b. The section of carriageway fronting No. 70 to No. 84 The
Parade, closed to vehicular traffic, access maintained for
pedestrians
Duration – from 8th January 2024 to 5th May 2024 or until such
time as the works have been completed.
Alternative route - available via from the southern side of the
closure, proceed via The Parade, West Street, Bridge Street
Roundabout, Bridge Street and Berw Road to the northern side
of the closure.
From the northern side of the closure, proceed via Berw Road,
Bridge Street, West Street, Middle Street, Bonvilston Road and
The Parade to the southern side of the closure
Access WILL NOT be maintained for emergency service
vehicles
Access to premises will be maintained
