BATH & NORTH EAST SOMERSET COUNCIL

(THTTC3300 PRISTON ROAD, PRISTON, BATH) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY VEHICLES) ORDER 2023

NOTICE IS GIVEN that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an order to the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce a road closure in that length of Priston Road, Priston, Bath from a point outside the property known as Duncorn extending south for approximately 280 metres to the fork junction. USRN: 47921650.

This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road to enable Wessex Water to repair a cover in the carriageway on the 12th December 2023 for a maximum period of 5 days. The road will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be effected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works. This is anticipated to be for THREE DAYS.

(THTTC3304 RUDMORE PARK, NEWBRIDGE, BATH) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY VEHICLES) ORDER 2023

NOTICE IS GIVEN that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an order to the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce a road closure in that length of Rudmore Park, Newbridge, Bath from its junction with Newbridge Road extending south west to a point outside property number 68. USRN: 47901306.

This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road to enable Wessex Water to carry out a Section 81 replacement in the carriageway on the 13th December 2023 for a maximum period of 4 days. The road will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be effected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works. This is anticipated to be for TWO DAYS. Access will be maintained for residents.

(THTTC3305 ANCHOR LANE, COMBE HAY, BATH) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY VEHICLES) ORDER 2023

NOTICE IS GIVEN that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an order to the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce a road closure in that length of Anchor Lane, Combe Hay, Bath from a point outside Watercress Cottage extending east for approximately 60 metres. This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road to enable Bristol Water to replace fire hydrant frame/cover and make accessible on the 12th December 2023 for a maximum period of 5 days. The road will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be effected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works.

This is anticipated to be for THREE DAYS.

(THTTC3309 A431 BATH ROAD, KELSTON) (TEMPORARY INTRODUCTION OF 30MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2023

NOTICE IS GIVEN that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an order to the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce a 30mph speed limit in that length of A431 Bath Road, Kelston started east of Swineford at the 30/40 terminals extending in an easterly direction for approximately 580 metres.

This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road to enable safe construction of a proposed new access and bridge over the River Avon. Construction traffic will need to cross from the compound (north of the A431) to the construction site (south of the A431) and facilitate safe crossing of the A431 by operatives. The 30mph speed restriction will be combined with two way and 4 way temporary traffic signals. Works carried out by Wessex Water on the 10th December 2023 for a maximum period of 5 months. The road will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be effected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works. This is anticipated to be for FOUR MONTHS.

(THTTC3308 HIGH STREET/MEAD LANE, SALTFORD) (TEMPORARY NO WAITING AT ANY TIME RESTRICTION) ORDER 2023

NOTICE IS GIVEN that the Bath and North East Somerset Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an order the effect of which will be to Temporarily introduce No Waiting at Any Time Markings in its length of roads listed below.

High Street, Saltford.
• Westbound from its junction with Homefield Close to its junction with Beech Road. 
• West of the entrance to The Batch extending westbound for approximately 27 metres. 
• West of property 48 ‘Middle Cottage’ extending westbound for approximately 73 metres to east of the entrance to The Batch. 
• Eastbound from its junction with Norman Road/Beech Road extending to its junction with Saltford Court. This will used as a construction traffic holding point. 
• Eastbound opposite its junction with Homefield Road for approximately 20 metres. 
• Eastbound opposite property 26a for approximately 15 metres.
• West of ‘Old School’ to its junction with Queen Square, approximately 24 metres.
• Eastbound from the existing No Waiting at Any Time Markings east of its junction with Queen Square extending east for approximately 60 metres.

Mead Lane, Saltford.
Layby just east of Bristol and Bath Railway Path. This will used as a construction traffic holding point.

This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road to enable the passage of construction traffic through Saltford to and from the Wessex Water Saltford Water Recycling Centre through the use of holding bays for construction traffic. These works will enable the construction of a new access from the A431 over the River Avon and significantly reduce the volume of heavy vehicles needing to access the site through Saltford. This Order will be operative from the 10th December 2023 for a maximum period of 5 months. However, the restrictions may not be effected for the whole of the period, but it is anticipated that the road will be restricted as and when traffic signs and markings are in position and only for so long as is necessary to execute the works which it is anticipated will be for FOUR MONTHS.

This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road to enable Wessex Water to carry out repairs to a severely defected pipe to restore service to customers on the 27th November 2023 for a maximum period of 7 days. The road will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be effected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works. This is anticipated to be for FIVE DAYS.
