A1 Trunk Road - Temporary Prohibition of Traffic to Allow Sign Replacement Works to Be Carried Out.

THE A1 TRUNK ROAD (NORTH OF RANBY, NOTTINGHAMSHIRE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC IN LAYBYS) ORDER 2023
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited (Company no. 9346363) has made an order on the A1 Trunk Road, near Ranby, in the County of Nottinghamshire, to allow sign replacement works to be carried out.
The effect of the Order will be to close the laybys adjacent to the southbound carriageway of the A1 –
(1) approximately 790 metres northwest of its junction with the unnamed road leading to Diggles Lodge, at Barnby Moor;
(2) approximately 880 metres south of its junction with the unnamed road leading to Diggles Lodge, at Barnby Moor; and
(3) approximately 295 metres north of its junction with Old Blyth Road, at Ranby.
The layby closures are expected to start at 20:00 hours on Monday 4 December 2023 and continue until 06:00 hours on Saturday 16 December 2023. The Order will come into force on Monday 27 November 2023.
Vehicles being used for police, fire and rescue authority or ambulance purposes, and vehicles being used in connection with the works or for winter maintenance purposes will be exempt from the closures.
