What is happening?

THE KINGSTON UPON HULL CITY COUNCIL

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)
ORDER 2023
HEMSWELL AVENUE
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Kingston upon Hull City Council by virtue of Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 has made an Order.
The effect of the Order is to prohibit any person with a vehicle from proceeding along Hemswell Avenue, from the junction with Falkland Road through for a distance of 2112 feet to Ashwell Avenue, Kingston upon Hull.
The purpose of the Order is to ensure the safety of the public and operatives during remedial works for creation of two concrete road crossings.
The alternative route for vehicles will be signposted on the days.
Access will be maintained for emergency services.
The Order will come into effect 27 November 2023 through to 8 December 2023 and may continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
It is anticipated, however, that the works will be completed in a period of approximately 10 days.
