(Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic) Order 2023
Notice Is Hereby Given that the Gwynedd Counci intend not less than seven days from the date hereof to make an Order, the effect of which will be to prohibit any person from causing any vehicle to proceed in either direction along those lengths of roads noted below.
1. Road from Bryn Saethon passing Penlan Uchaf to Ffestiniog Railway, Penrhyndeudraeth from a point by the property known as Ty Briallen travelling in a south westerly direction for approximately 20 metres.
2 Road from Bryn Gwilym to the Road leading to
Ffestiniog Railway, Penrhyndeudraeth from a point by the junction opposite Bodorwel travelling in a south easterly direction for approximately 15 metres.
3. Road from Bryn Saethon passing Penlan Uchaf to Ffestiniog Railway, Penrhyndeudraeth from a point by the junction opposite Bodorwel travelling in a south westerly direction for approximately 50 metres.
The Order is necessary on health and safety grounds to the public during works to place a new gas pipe on behalf of Wales & West Utilities.
The alternative route, starting at the south westernmost point of the closure, is to travel in a south westerly, then south easterly direction up to the junction with the A4085. Turn left to follow the A4085 in a north easterly direction up to the junction with the Road from Bryn Gwilym to the Road leading to Ffestiniog Railway. Turn left to travel in a north westerly direction up to the closure and vice versa for
vehicles travelling in the opposite direction. Access will be maintained for residents.
The Order comes into effect on the 4th of December, 2023 and will continue in force for a period not exceeding six months or until the work which it is proposed to carry out on the road is completed, whichever is the earlier. At this stage it is anticipated that the work will be completed within approximately 8 days.
