Berney Road - Temporary Road Closure
What is happening?

Portsmouth City Council (Berney Road) (Temporary Road Closure) (Temporary Prohibition of Waiting and Loading) (No.313) Order 2023
Notice is hereby given that Portsmouth City Council intends to make the above Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991.
The Order comes into operation from 6th December 2023 and the effect will be as follows:-
A) TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
BERNEY ROAD
From its junction with Shirley Avenue to its junction with Ironbridge Lane.
B) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF WAITING AND LOADING
BERNEY ROAD
Between No. 19 and No. 21 on both sides.
C) REASON FOR THE ORDER
To facilitate Openreach works.
D) DURATION OF THE ORDER
From 08:30 to 16:30 on 6th December 2023 or completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
E) DIVERSION
Vehicles will be diverted from Shirley Avenue, Kingsley Road, Ironbridge Lane and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained around the works.
Cycles to follow vehicle diversion or dismount and follow pedestrian diversion around the works.
