Public Footpath FP0601090 & FP0601071 - Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic
What is happening?
THE LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(PUBLIC FOOTPATHS FP0601090 & FP0601071 FULWOOD, PRESTON CITY)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2023
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Lancashire County Council have made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which is to prohibit temporarily all traffic from proceeding over the Public Footpaths indicated below:-
Public Footpaths FP0601090 and FP0601071 Fulwood, Preston, from point A (351787 432062) at the junction with Lower Greenfield to point B (GR 351876 432200) a total distance of approximately 230 metres.
The closure is necessary because of the likelihood of danger to the public.
Access for pedestrians to any premises situated on or adjacent to the footpaths, or to any other premises accessible for pedestrians from, and only from, the footpaths, will be maintained at all times.
Nothing in the order shall apply to emergency service vehicles or to those undertaking any necessary works
The Order will be operative from the 15th November, 2023, for a period of 6 months or until the works are completed within this period.
