What is happening?
HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL:
TEMPORARY CLOSING OF FOOTPATH HEMEL HEMPSTEAD 131
NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council intend to make an Order under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit pedestrians from using that length of Footpath Hemel Hempstead 131, heading west from Buncefield Road towards Green Lane, for an approximate distance of 350m.
Alternative Route: via field boundary path and Hemel Hempstead 50
The purpose of the Order is to enable construction works to take place.
The section of Footpath Hemel Hempstead 131 will be closed on or after 11 December 2023 for up to 6 months, when signs are in place.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF A4251 LONDON ROAD, BERKHAMSTED) ORDER 2023
NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of A4251 London Road, Berkhamsted from its junction with Hall Park Gate south eastwards for a distance of approximately 40m (“the Road”).
An alternative route will be via A4251 London Road, Ravens Lane, Gravel Path, The Common, Hempstead Lane, Berkhamsted Road, Boxted Road, Warners End Road, A4146 (Leighton Buzzard Road/Station Road) and A4251 London Road.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 8 December 2023 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF CHURCH LANE, HASTOE) ORDER 2023
NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Church Lane, Hastoe from its junction with Tring Town Public Footpath No.020 south eastwards and north eastwards for a distance of approximately 200m (“the Road”).
An alternative route will be via Church Lane, Hastoe Hill, Marlin Hill and Church Lane.
The Order is needed because water connection works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 12 December 2023 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF WATER LANE, BOVINGDON) ORDER 2023
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Water Lane, Bovingdon from a point 119m north west of its junction with Flaunden Lane north westwards for a distance of approximately 40m (“the Road”), except for access.
An alternative route will be via Water Lane, Flaunden Lane, Venus Hill, Middle Lane, Long Lane and Water Lane or via Water Lane, Long Lane, Venus Hill, Flaunden Lane and Water Lane.
The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 23 November 2023 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF ST ALBANS HILL, HEMEL HEMPSTEAD) ORDER 2023
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of St Albans Hill, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with Wheelers Lane north eastwards for a distance of approximately 20m (“the Road”), except for access.
An alternative route will be via St Albans Hill, Leys Road, Howe Road, Leys Road, Bennetts End Road and St Albans Hill.
The Order is needed because water main connection works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 23 November 2023 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

THE HERTFORDSHIRE (VARIOUS ROADS, BERKHAMSTED) (20 MPH ZONE) ORDER 2023
NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to introduce a new 20 mph speed limit zone in parts of Berkhamsted as specified in the Schedule to this Notice. The Order will come into effect on Monday 4 December 2023.
