What is happening?

THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1) AS AMENDED BY
THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991
THE LEICESTER (RED HILL FLYOVER) (TEMPORARY) TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2023

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Leicester City Council has made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be, for the following anticipated period of time to:
Prohibit the movement of all vehicles and prohibit waiting and loading at any time on Red Hill Flyover in its entirety from 8.00pm until 5.00am on the following nights:
Friday 24th November 2023 until Saturday 25th November 2023.
Tuesday 19th December 2023 until Wednesday 20th December 2023.
Tuesday 9th January 2024 until Friday 12th January 2024.
Diversion route: Red Hill Way, Red Hill Circle, Watermead Way.
The Order will come into effect on the 24th November 2023 and will continue in force for up to 18 months, or until the order is no longer deemed necessary, whichever is the earlier.
This order is made to facilitate bridge maintenance works taking place and to prevent the likeliness of danger to the public. 
Emergency access will be maintained at all times.
