What is happening?

(Kelvedon Road, Little Braxted) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Kelvedon Road, Little Braxted in the District of Maldon, from its junction with Heath Lane to its junction with Witham Road a distance of approximately 340m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 11th December 2023 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2350743 - Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council. An alternative route is available via Kelvedon Road, Braxted Road, Tiptree Road, Braxted Park Road, Lea Lane and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 23rd November 2023 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Bakers Lane, Tolleshunt Major) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Bakers Lane, Tolleshunt Major in the District of Maldon, from a point approximately 450m north west of its junction with Beckingham Street for a distance of approximately 110m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 27th November 2023 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EN01331214 - Essex And Suffolk Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while mains renewal reinstatement works are undertaken by Essex and Suffolk Water. An alternative route is available via Sawyers Road, Witham Road, Mill Lane, Beckingham Street and vice versa (with access only into Bakers Lane).
The Order came into effect on 9th November 2023 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(The Hythe/North Street, Maldon) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) & (Butt Lane, Maldon) (Temporary Suspension of One Way) Order 2023
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily close that length of The Hythe/North Street, Maldon in the District of Maldon, from a point approximately 80m north west of the junction with Church Street for a distance of approximately 85m in a north westerly then south westerly direction.
2. To temporarily suspend the one-way restriction in that length of Butt Lane, Maldon in the District of Maldon from its junction with High Street to the northern boundary of the Baptist Chapel, a distance of approximately 105 yards as detailed in 'The County Council of Essex (Butt Lane, Maldon) (One Way Traffic) Order, 1969' for the duration of the above closure only.
The closure/suspension is scheduled to commence on 27th November 2023 for 2 days, or where stated on a valid permit (H802156277176/H802198673481 - LIGHTSPEED NETWORKS LTD). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while blockage clearance works are undertaken by LIGHTSPEED NETWORKS LTD. An alternative route is available via North Street, High Street, Butt Lane, Victoria Road, Downs Road and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 9th November 2023 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Langford Road, Heybridge) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Langford Road, Heybridge in the District of Maldon, from a point approximately 40m north west of its junction with Langford Road Roundabout for a distance of approximately 210m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 28th November 2023 for 4 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EN01331250 - Essex And Suffolk Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new pipeline works are undertaken by Essex and Suffolk Water. An alternative route is available via Heybridge Approach, Pond Roundabout, Maldon Bypass, Spital Road Roundabout, Spital Road, Wycke Hill, Limebrook Roundabout, Maldon Road, Oak Corner, Chelmsford Road, Little Baddow Road, The Ridge, North Hill, Worlds End, Mowden Hall Lane, London Road, The Street and vice versa (with access only into Langford Road and Maldon Road).
The Order came into effect on 9th November 2023 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Mope Lane, Wickham Bishops) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Mope Lane, Wickham Bishops in the District of Maldon, from a point approximately 120m north of its junction with Church Road for a distance of approximately 50m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 28th November 2023 for 2 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30049562818 - UK Power Networks). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while electricity installation works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.
An alternative route is available via Church Road, Witham Road, Blue Mills Hill and vice versa (with access only into Mope Lane).
The Order came into effect on 9th November 2023 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Various Roads, Maldon) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Clearway & Temporary Introduction of 30mph Speed Limit) Order (No.7) 2023
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily close that various length of road in the District of Maldon as specified in the schedule to the Order.
2. To temporarily introduce a 30mph speed limit in that length of road as specified in the schedule.
3. A temporary 'No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping' restriction will be introduced on both sides of carriageway on the above length of road and those in the schedule for the duration of the closure to facilitate the works. Signs will be installed indicating when the No Waiting restriction will be in force.
"The Essex County Council (Maldon District) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019" will be temporarily amended to include the temporary 'No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping' restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above length of road only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.
The works being undertaken will take place within an 18-month period from 9th November 2023, exact dates will be specified on one.network. The road will be closed to facilitate each phase of works and then re-opened to the public. Access will be maintained for emergency services. Diversion routes will be signed at each location and residents will be informed of the dates of each phase via letter/leaflet drop and advanced warning signs on the roads.
