THE HIGHLAND COUNCIL (U1992 EVANTON-SWORDALE ROAD EVANTON) TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2023

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that The Highland Council has made an Order in terms of Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, entitled as above. The Order has been made to allow British Telecom to carry out pole replacement works safely.

The effect of the Order is to prohibit access by all vehicular traffic with the exception of vehicles being used to gain access to, or egress from, premises situated on or adjacent to the after mentioned section of road or premises which are only accessible from it, to that section of the U1992 Evanton-Swordale Road Evanton commencing from its entrance to the property know as West Lodge and extending in a south westerly direction for a distance of 300 metres or thereby. Pedestrian and emergency vehicle access will be maintained.

There is no alternative route available.

The Order will come into force at 0930 hrs on Friday 8th December 2023 and remain until 1530 hrs on the same day.
