NOTICE OF MAKING THE BOROUGH OF WATFORD (GEORGE STREET, WATFORD) (NO WAITING, LOADING AND UNLOADING RESTRICTIONS) ORDER 2023

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Watford Borough Council, acting as agents for Hertfordshire County Council has made the above-mentioned Order pursuant to arrangements made under Section 19 of the Local Government Act 2000 and the Local Government (Arrangements for Discharge of Functions) (England) Regulations 2000 with the Hertfordshire County Council, and in exercise of the powers conferred on that County under Sections 1,2,3,4 and Part 6 of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (referred to as "the Act") and all other enabling powers. The order will come into effect on Monday 27th November 2023. The general effect of this order is to replace the No Waiting at Any Time around the eastern side of the junction of George Street and King Street along with the No Waiting Monday to Saturday 8am to 6.30pm on the eastern side of George Street, located between the junction of King Street and the property boundary of No5 George Street with St Marys Churchyard to a No Waiting and No Loading/Unloading at Any Time restriction, in the interests of road safety.

Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order, or of any of the provisions contained in them, on the grounds that they are not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act or any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Orders, may within 6 weeks of the date of this Notice apply to the High Court for this purpose
