Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
TUNBRIDGE WELLS AREA
Bramble Reed Lane, Matfield TN12 7ET (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2023
To allow replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Bramble Reed Lane, Matfield, on or after 13th December 2023 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the general vicinity of Green Gables, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Bramble Reed Lane, B2160 Maidstone Road, Chestnut Lane, Foxhole Lane and vice versa.
Currie Road & St Stephen’s Road, Royal Tunbridge Wells, TN4 9LL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER DECEMBER 2023
To allow connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Currie Road & St Stephen’s Road, Royal Tunbridge Wells, on or after 12th December 2023 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.
The roads will be closed between numbers 174 and 176, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Stephens Road, Upper Dunstan Road, Queens Road, Currie Road and vice versa.
Maidstone Road, Horsmonden (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER DECEMBER 2023
To allow overhead cabling works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of B2162 Maidstone Road, Horsmonden, on or after 20th December 2023 for up to 1 day between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the general vicinity of Bluebird House, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2162 Maidstone Road, B2162 Claygate, B2162 Collier Street, Green Lane, Underlyn Road, B2079 Maidstone Road, B2079 High Street, B20279 Church Green, B2079 West End, B2079 Goudhurst Road, B2079 Winchet Hill, B2079 Summer Hill, Ballards Hill, Goudhurst Road, The Heath, B2162 Maidstone Road and vice versa.
Victoria Road, Southborough, TN4 0LS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER DECEMBER 2023
To allow ducting works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Victoria Road, Southborough, on or after 12th December 2023 for up to 3 days between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the junction with Modest Corner to outside number 2 Wood Cottage, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Victoria Road, A26 London Road, A26 St Johns Road, Speldhurst Road, Etherington Hill, Stockland Green Road, Bentham Hill and vice versa.
Water Lane, Cranbrook (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER NOVEMBER 2023
To allow pole testing works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Water Lane, Cranbrook, on or after 29th November 2023 for up to 1 day between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from outside Cover Cottage to the entrance of Tilden Farm, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Water Lane, A229 Hawkhurst Road, A229 Gills Green, A229 Cranbrook Road, A268 Rye Road, Water Lane and vice versa.
