What is happening?

Highways

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984,  makes or intends to make the following Orders.

SWALE AREA

Bobbing Hill, Bobbing.​ ME9 8NY (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER DECEMBER 2023

To allow new supply works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Bobbing Hill, Bobbing, on or after 11th December 2023, for up to 9 days, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between A2 Key Street Roundabout and Cold Harbour Lane, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Cold Harbour Lane, Rook Lane, Hill Farm View (a new road through the development that will be open by the time these works occur), A2 Keycol Hill, Key Street Roundabout and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Bull Lane, Newington.​ ME9 7SL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER NOVEMBER 2023

To allow pole testing works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Bull Lane, Newington, on or after 27th November 2023, for up to 2 days, between the hours of 09.30 and 15.30, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between Old House Lane and Wormdale Hill (Wormdale Road), to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Old House Lane, Lower Hartlip Road, A2 Hartlip Hill, London Road, Playstool Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Butlers Hill, Dargate, ME13 9HQ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER NOVEMBER 2023

To allow pole testing works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Butlers Hill, Dargate, on or after 27th November 2023, for up to 2 days, between the hours of 09.30 and 15.30, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between Dargate Road and Crockham Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Church Hill, Staplestreet Road, The Street, Canterbury Road, Courtenay Road, Dargate Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Colegates Road, Oare.​ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER DECEMBER 2023

To allow pole testing works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Colegates Road, Oare, on or after 11th December 2023, for up to one day, between the hours of 09.30 and 15.30, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between Tin Shop Hill and Colegates Close, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Bysing Wood Road, Luddenham Hill (Bysing Wood Road), B2045 Western Link, Oare Road, The Street (Oare Road) and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Fostall, Hernhill.​ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER DECEMBER 2023

To allow pole testing works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Fostall, Hernhill, on or after 14th December 2023, for up to one day, between the hours of 09.30 and 15.30, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the A299 Thanet Way and Kemsdale Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via A299 Thanet Way, Staple Street and Kemsdale Road.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Hearts Delight, Borden, ME9 8HZ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER DECEMBER 2023

To allow cabling and jointing works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Hearts Delight, Borden, on or after 12th December 2023, for up to one day, between the hours of 09.30 and 15.30, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between Bannister Hill and Wrens Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Bannister Hill, The Street, Pond Farm Road, Sutton Baron Road, Wrens Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Lower Hartlip Road, Hartlip.​ ME9 7SR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER DECEMBER 2023

To allow overhead cabling works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Lower Hartlip Road, Hartlip, on or after 12th December 2023, for up to one day, between the hours of 09.30 and 15.30, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between Old House Lane and Mount Lane, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Mount Lane, The Street, Hollow Lane and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Monks Alley, Faversham.​ (PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIANS) TEMPORARY ORDER NOVEMBER 2023

To allow street lighting replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting pedestrians on Monks Alley, Faversham, on or after 29th November 2023, for up to 1 day, between the hours of 09.00 and 14.00, or until the works have been completed.

The footpath will be closed for the entire length, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Monks Close, Old Gate Road, Dark Hill and vice versa.

 

Monkshill Road, Hernhill, ME13 9EH (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER DECEMBER 2023

To allow pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Monkshill Road, Hernhill, on or after 15th December 2023, for up to one day, between the hours of 09.30 and 15.30, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of Monkshill Cottages, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via High Street Road, Huffkins Way, A299 Thanet Way, Staple Street Road, Head Hill, Head Hill Road and Seasalter Road.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Plumford Lane, Ospringe.​ ME13 0DN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER DECEMBER 2023

To allow pole testing works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Plumford Lane, Ospringe, on or after 12th December 2023, for up to 2 days, between the hours of 09.30 and 15.30, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between Whitehill and Plumford Barn, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Plumford Lane, A251 Ashford Road, Porters Lane, Brogdale Road (Eastling Road) and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Sharsted Hill, Newnham, ME9 0LL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER DECEMBER 2023

To allow tree cutting works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Sharsted Hill, Newnham, on or after 12th December 2023, with estimated completion by 14th December 2023, between the hours of 09.30 and 15.30, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between The Street and Champion Court Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Champion Court Road, Straight Hill, Faversham Road, The Street and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Stalisfield Road, Ospringe, ME13 0EY (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER DECEMBER 2023

To allow pole testing works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Stalisfield Road, Ospringe, on or after 14th December 2023, for up to one day, between the hours of 09.30 and 15.30, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between Throwley Road and Eastling Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic:-

For vehicles travelling North is via Stalisfield Road, Scooks Hill and Eastling Road.

For vehicles travelling South is via Eastling Road and Box Lane.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
