Notice is hereby given that North Somerset Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, intend to make an order the effect of which:

Bridgwater Road, Axbridge, North Somerset

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Pedestrians and Cyclists

Order 2023 Date coming into force: 15 December 2023

Ref: Shute Shelf A38 north from the junction of Winscombe Hill

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles, pedestrians, and cyclists the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles, and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by North Somerset Council for Road closure to remove diseased ash trees on the A38 north from the Winscombe Hill junction. This will become operative on the 15 December 2023 for a maximum period of 18 months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 3 days in duration between 7am and 7pm. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Bournville Road, Weston-super-Mare, North Somerset

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles and Cyclists

Date coming into force: 13 November 2023 - Ref: T23-70

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles and cyclists the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. The maximum period for the closures is 18 months, however, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works.

This order was required because of carriageway and footway resurfacing works and will become operative on 13 November 2023, anticipated to be of 30 days in duration between 8am and 5pm.

Schedule - Bournville Road for full extent.

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles & Cyclists Order 2023

Date coming into force: 4 December 2023 - Ref: The Bury, Locking

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles and cyclists the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles, and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by North Somerset Council to removal of dead elms and ash affected by Ash Dieback. This will become operative on the 4 December 2023 between 9.30am and 3.30pm for a maximum period of 18 months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 2 days in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles and Cyclists

Date coming into force: 27 November 2023 - Ref: T23-65

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles and cyclists the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. The maximum period for the closures is eighteen months, however, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works.

This order was required because of carriageway maintenance works and will become operative on 27 November 2023, anticipated to be of 6 nights in duration between 8pm and 6am.

Schedule - A370 Rhodyate Hill from its junction with Wood Hill to its junction with Cleeve Hill Road.

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2023

Date coming into force: 4 December 2023 - Ref: Riverside Ground Investigation

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles, and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by North Somerset Council to carry out investigation of the underlying ground and locate buried services. This will become operative on the 4 December 2023 for a maximum period of 18 months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 5 days in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by North Somerset Council to investigate the location of buried services. This will become operative on the 4 December 2023 for a maximum period of 18 months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 5 days in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Wales & West Utilities to lay new service. This will become operative on the 9 January 2024 for a maximum period of 18 months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 4 days in duration. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 3 days in duration. Date coming into force: 8 January 2024 - Ref: SW23.24-277

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles, and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Edenstone Developments for utility connections for development works. This will become operative on the 8 January 2024 for a maximum period of 18 months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of approximately 8 weeks in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2024

Date coming into force: 2 January 2024 - Ref: SW23.24-193.4.5.6

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles, and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Wales & West Utilities to install gas connection point. This will become operative on the 2 January 2024 for a maximum period of 18 months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works in phases which is anticipated to be of 4 weeks per phase in duration as per the schedule below. Phase dates are approximate and subject to the progression of the works. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2024

Date coming into force: 9 January 2024 - Ref: SW23.24-238

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles, and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by National Grid for joint holes and crane for new supply. This will become operative on the 9 January 2024 for a maximum period of 18 months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the phased works which is anticipated to be of 3 hours in duration between 10am and 1pm on each phase date as per the schedule of the works. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Notice is hereby given that North Somerset Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, have made an order the effect of which:

Milton Park Road, Weston-super-Mare, North Somerset

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles, Temporary No Waiting or Loading Order 2023

Date coming into force: 3 December 2023 - Ref: SW23.24-211

Will be to restrict, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles. Access for residents through the closure is only if works permit. Pedestrian access maintained.

This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Openreach to replace a pole. This will become operative on the 3 December 2023 for a maximum period of 18 months. However, the restrictions may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 1 day in duration between 8am and 4pm. Appropriate traffic signs or cones will be displayed when and where the measures are in force.

Notice of Intent

Prohibition of Motor Vehicles Order 2023

Notice is hereby given that North Somerset Council proposes to make an Order under Sections 1, 2 and 4 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act of 1984 as amended and Traffic Management Act 2004 as amended, the effect of which will be to prohibit motor vehicles to enter or proceed on that length of Road as specified in the Schedule to this Notice, with an exemption for pedal cycles and vehicles gaining access to properties. Full details of the proposals are contained in the draft order which, together with a plan and a statement of the Councils reasons for proposing to make the Order may be inspected at North Somerset Council, Town Hall, Walliscote Grove Road, Weston-super-Mare BS23 1UJ, or at www.n-somerset.gov.uk/notices

Should you wish to make any observations on these proposals (whether you support or object to the proposals) you should make them in writing to the Director of Place, North Somerset Council, Town Hall, Walliscote Grove Road, Weston-super-Mare BS23 1UJ quoting reference 2320/DG/Kingsley Road by 5pm on 8 December 2023. Any objections must specify the grounds on which they are made. (Consolidation) Order 2022 (Variation No.7) Order 2023 -

Notice is hereby given that on the 9th November 2023, North Somerset Council made the following order in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The general effect of the order shall be to install parking restrictions in the Long Ashton and Weston-super-Mare area. The extents of the proposals are described in the schedule to this Notice. The order came into operation on the 13 November 2023 and copies of this together with plans and a copy of the Council's statement of reason for making the order may be inspected at North Somerset Council website by using the following address: https://www.n-somerset.gov.uk/notices

Any person who desires to question the validity of, or of any provision contained in the order on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, or on the grounds that any of the relevant requirements of that Act has not been complied with in relation to the order, may within six weeks after the date on which the order was made, apply to the High Court for this purpose.
