What is happening?

SOUTH TYNESIDE COUNCIL (DERBY TERRACE, SOUTH SHIELDS) ORDER 2023

On 8 November 2023 South Tyneside Council made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers. The Order which comes into operation on 27 November 2023 will INTRODUCE No Waiting At Any Time and No Loading/Unloading At Any Time on:- Derby Terrace north side from a point 12m east of its junction with Newmarket Walk to a point 18m west of its junction with Newmarket Walk and south side from a point 8m east of its junction with Newmarket Walk to a point 10m west of its junction with Newmarket Walk. Newmarket Walk east side from its
junction with Derby Terrace in a southerly direction for 4m and west side from its junction with Derby Terrace in a southerly direction for 20m. Full details are contained in the Order, which, together with a plan showing the lengths of road affected and a statement of the Council’s reasons for making the Order, may be inspected from Monday to Friday between 10am and 2pm at the Town Hall, Westoe Road, South Shields, NE33 2RL. Any person who wishes to question the validity of the Order or any of its provisions on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Act or that any of the requirements of the Act or of any relevant regulations made under the Act have not been complied with may, within 6 weeks from 8
November 2023 when the Order was made, make an application for that purpose to the High Court.
