What is happening?

THE LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(TOWN LANE, MUCH HOOLE, SOUTH RIBBLE BOROUGH)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2023

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Order made by the Lancashire County Council on 7th day of November 2023, under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which is to temporarily prohibit any motor vehicle from proceeding over the following length of road will now be in operation as per the schedule below.
i) Town Lane, Much Hoole, from its boundary with Brooklands for 10 metres in either direction from 0800 hours on Tuesday 28th November 2023 until 1700 hours on Tuesday 5th December 2023 or until completion of works within this period.
An alternative route for vehicular traffic affected by the closure is via: -
Town Lane - Smithy Lane - Moss House Lane - Carr Lane - Doles Lan North Road - Liverpool Road - Liverpool Old Road - Town Lane.
The temporary prohibition is necessary to allow new cable connection works to be carried out by Network Plus on behalf of Electricity Northwest.
