Ely, Multiple Roads, Temporary Prohibitions Of Traffic
What is happening?
CAMBRIDGESHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
NOTICE is given that Cambridgeshire County Council intends after seven days, to make an Order pursuant to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, the effect of which:
Upware, Upware (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2023 - 1388
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Upware, Upware as lies between Spinney Drove and Field Farm Cottages. The alternative route for vehicles is via A1123 -A142 - B1102 - High Street, Swaffham Prior -Station Road - Whiteway Drove - Headlake Drove (C214) - Great Drove (C214) - Prior Fen and vice versa.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate pole replacement and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 14 December 2023 and continue until these works have finished or on the 14 June 2025 whichever is the earlier.
It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 09:30hrs and 15:30hrs 14 December 2023.
Cannon Street, Little Downham (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2023 - 344
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Cannon Street, Little Downham as lies between Pond Lane and The B1411. The alternative route for vehicles is via Cannon Street - Townsend - B1411 and vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate water connection and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 12 December 2023 and continue until these works have finished or on the 12 June 2025 whichever is the earlier.
It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 12 December and 14 December 2023.
Debden Green, Ely (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2023 - 1363
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Debden Green, Ely as lies between number 3 and Hereward Street.
The alternative route for vehicles is via Debden Green.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate sewer repair and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 11 December 2023 and continue until these works have finished or on the 10 June 2025 whichever is the earlier.
It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 11 December and 22 December 023.
Access will be maintained to properties affected by these orders.
The above orders shall not apply to any persons lawfully engaged in connection with any works for which these are made, any member of the Police Force, Fire and Rescue Service, Ambulance Service, a vehicle being used by Special Forces during the execution of their duties or to any person acting with the permission or upon the direction of a Police Officer in uniform.
