What is happening?
CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1) CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL (LYMANS ROAD, ARLESEY) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2023
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Lymans Road, Arlesey at its junction with High Street.
This temporary closure is required to enable overhead infrastructure works to take place safely and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place on 5 December 2023 between the hours of 9:30am and 3:30pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure is via Hillary Rise, Gothic Way, Lynton Avenue, High Street and vice versa.
The Order will come into operation on 5 December 2023 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL (OAK CRESCENT, POTTON) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2023
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Oak Crescent, Potton between numbers 23 and 35.
This temporary closure is required to enable ducting works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 8 to 15 December 2023. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure is via Oak Crescent, Station Road (B1042) and vice versa.
The Order will come into operation on 8 December 2023 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL (ASTWICK ROAD, STOTFOLD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2023
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Astwick Road, Stotfold outside number 9.
This temporary closure is required to enable cabling works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 20 to 21 November 2023 between the hours of 9:30am and 3:30pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure is via Astwick Road, A1, Wrayfields, Malthouse Lane, The Green, Astwick Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into operation on 20 November 2023 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL (C167 LINK ROAD FROM A1 NORTHBOUND TO C210 HITCHIN ROAD, SANDY) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2023
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the full length of C167 Link Road from A1 Northbound to C210 Hitchin Road, Sandy.
This temporary closure is required to enable carriageway patching works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 20 to 24 November 2023 between the hours of 9am and 3:30pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure is via A603, A1 and vice versa.
The Order will come into operation on 20 November 2023 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL PROPOSES TO INTRODUCE NO WAITING AT ANY TIME ON EVERTON ROAD, POTTON
Reason for proposal: The waiting restrictions are intended to address indiscriminate parking and to ensure that visibility is not obstructed by parked vehicles. Effect of the Order:
To introduce No Waiting at Any Time on the following length of road in Potton:-
1. Everton Road, east side, from the junction with Goodship Lane and extending in a northerly direction for approximately 10 metres.
2. Everton Road, east side, from the junction with Goodship Lane and extending in a southerly direction for approximately 10 metres.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL – NOTICE OF MAKING ARLESEY RELIEF ROAD AND STOTFOLD BYPASS (A507), ARLESEY 30 & 40MPH SPEED LIMITS
On 7th November 2023 Central Bedfordshire Council made the below named Traffic Regulation Order which has the effect as follows:
To introduce a 30mph Speed Limit on the following lengths of road in Arlesey:
• Relief Road West, from the junction with High Street and Goodwin Drive and extending in an easterly direction for approximately 232 metres ending at the roundabout with Relief Road Central.
• The full length of the roundabout linking Relief Road West and Relief Road Central.
• Relief Road Central, from the roundabout linking Relief Road West and Relief Road Central and extending in an easterly direction for approximately 404 metres ending at the roundabout with Relief Road East.
• The full length of the roundabout linking Relief Road Central and Relief Road East.
• Relief Road East, from the roundabout linking Relief Road East and Relief Road Central and extending in an easterly direction for approximately 197 metres ending at the roundabout with the A507
To introduce a 40mph Speed Limit on the following lengths of road in Arlesey:-
• Sto tfold Bypass (A507), from the roundabout Relief Road East and extending in a north-westerly direction for approximately 50 metres.
• Stotfold Bypass (A507), from the roundabout Relief Road East and extending in a south-easterly direction for approximately 50 metres.

Date of Operation:- The Order will come into operation on the 24th November 2023.

High Court Challenge:- Any person who desires to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained therein on the ground that it is not within the powers of the relevant Section of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or on the ground that any requirement of that Section had not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within six weeks of 7th November 2023, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL – NOTICE OF MAKING ARLESEY RELIEF ROAD AND SUROUNDING ROADS NO WAITING AT ANY TIME
On 7th November 2023 Central Bedfordshire Council made the below named Traffic Regulation Order which has the effect as follows:To introduce No Waiting at any time on the following lengths of road in Arlesey:-
• High Street, both sides, from a point approximately in line with lamp Column No. 9 (where the Goodwin Drive footway meets High Street) and extending in a northerly direction for approximately 62 metres.
• Goodwin Drive, both sides, form the western side of the crossing point and extending in a westerly direction for approximately 29 metres.
• Good win Drive, north side, from the eastern side of the crossing point and extending in a north-easterly direction onto the High Street for a total of approximately 13 metres.
• Good win Drive, south side, from the eastern side of the crossing point and extending in a south-easterly direction onto the High Street for a total of approximately 12 metres.
• High Street, both sides, from a point in line with the common property boundary between No. 249 and No. 251 High Street and extending in a northerly direction for approximately 24 metres.
• Relief Road West, north side, from the western side of the crossing point and extending in a north-westerly direction for approximately 13 metres.
• Relief Road West, south side, from the western side of the crossing point and extending in a south-westerly direction for approximately 26 metres.
• Relief Road West, north side, from the eastern side of the crossing point and extending in a easterly direction for approximately 81 metres.
• Relief Road West, south side, from the eastern side of the crossing point and extending in a easterly direction for approximately 59 metres
