(SIR EVELYN ROAD, ROCHESTER)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2023

Notice is hereby given that Medway Council intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable a decaying telephone pole to be replaced -

Sir Evelyn Road, Rochester - to be closed to all vehicular traffic across the frontage of 13 Sir Evelyn Road. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be available via Valley View Road and Maidstone Road.

This Order will come into force on Thursday, 21 December 2023 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Thursday, 21 December 2023 and are programmed for completion within two days. The Order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

(KESTREL ROAD BUS PRIORITY) ORDER 2023

Notice is hereby given that Medway Council have made the above-named Order under sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 3(2), 4(1) and (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the chief officer of police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act –

The effect of the Order is to establish a ‘bus only’ route at all times in the service road/ turning circle on the north-eastern side of Kestrel Road between the entrance to Kestrel Court and the northern boundary of 1 Kestrel Road. Exemptions for pedal cycles and delivery vehicles will apply.

The Order was made on Thursday, 16 November 2023 and will come into force on 1 December 2023.

Full details are contained in the made Order, a copy of which together with a statement of the Council’s reasons for proposing to make the Order, a map indicating the location and effect and a copy of any Orders which will be amended or revoked by the made Order, may be examined at the Front Reception, Medway Council Offices, Gun Wharf, Dock Road, Chatham, Kent ME4 4TR, during normal office hours from Friday, 17 November 2023.

Any person wishing to question the validity of an Order or of any of its provisions on the ground that it is not within the powers of the relevant enabling Act or that a requirement of any such enabling Act or of any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the Order was made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.

(MILTON AVENUE, CLIFFE WOODS)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2023

Notice is hereby given that Medway Council intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable a new public utility connection to be made -

Milton Avenue, Cliffe Woods - to be closed to all vehicular traffic between across the frontage of 2 Milton Avenue. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be available via Town Road, Merryboys Road and View Road.

This Order will come into force on Monday, 18 December 2023 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Monday, 18 December 2023 and are programmed for completion within five days. The Order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

(HOLMSIDE AND SEATON ROAD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2023

Notice is hereby given that Medway Council intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable gas main replacement works to be carried out-

Holmside and Seaton Road - to be closed to all vehicular traffic (a) in Holmside for the entire length, and (b) in Seaton Road across the junction with Holmside. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be available via Watling Street and Barnsole Road.

This Order will come into force on Tuesday, 2 January 2024 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Tuesday, 2 January 2024 and are programmed for completion within six weeks. The Order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

ROCHESTER RIVERSIDE CONTROLLED PARKING ZONE R3
NOTICE OF PROPOSAL
(ROCHESTER RIVERSIDE) (PARKING PLACES AND
WAITING RESTRICTIONS) ORDER 2023

Notice is hereby given that Medway Council proposes to make the above-mentioned Order under sections 1, 2, 32, 35, 37, 45, 46, 49 and 51 of, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.

The general effect of the Order would be to:

(a) introduce No Waiting at any time in roads described in Part 1 to this notice;

(b) introduce parking for R3 permit holders and time-limited parking in the Parking Places described in Part 3 to this notice;

(c) introduce parking for R3 permit holders only in the Parking Places described in Part 2 to this notice;

(d) provide that those residents who live at an address specified in Part 4 to this notice would be eligible for a resident’s permit and/or visitor’s permits to park in the Rochester Riverside Controlled Parking Zone R3.

Copies of the Order, plans and of other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Order can be inspected at the front reception, Medway Council, Gun Wharf, Dock Road, Chatham, Kent, ME4 4TR during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive except for public holidays. Electronic copies of the documents can be requested by email to TROconsult@medway.gov.uk on the understanding that requests may take up to 5 working days to be processed.

Any objections or other representations about the proposed Order should be sent in writing by email to TROconsult@medway.gov.uk or by post to “Parking Design team” at the address specified in the paragraph above by Friday, 15 December 2023 stating name, address and the grounds for objection or support.

(TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2023

Notice is hereby given that Medway Council have made an Order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic for safety reasons during the construction of a floodwall and floodgate -

Shared cycleway and footway between Knight Road and Esplanade Strood - to be closed between Knight Road and Esplanade. An alternative route will be available via Commercial Road and Knight Road.

This Order will come into force on Thursday, 30 November 2023 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Thursday, 30 November 2023 and are programmed for completion within five months. The Order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

(CHADA AVENUE AREA, GILLINGHAM)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2023

Notice is hereby given that Medway Council have made an Order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable gas main replacement works to be carried out -

Chada Avenue, Cleave Road and Oxford Road, Gillingham - to be closed to all vehicular traffic as follows - for the entire length of Chada Avenue and Cleave Road, and in Oxford Road across the junction with Cleave Road. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. Alternative routes will be provided and signed as the works progress.

This Order will come into force on Monday, 4 December 2023 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Monday, 4 December 2023 and are programmed for completion within six weeks. The Order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.
