THE BARNET (FREE PARKING PLACES, LOADING PLACES, WAITING, LOADING AND STOPPING RESTRICTIONS) (AMENDMENT NO.234) ORDER 2023
THE BARNET (CHARGED-FOR PARKING PLACES) (AMENDMENT NO.149) ORDER 2023
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Barnet have on 16th November 2023 made the above-mentioned Orders under Sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 51 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers. In order to deter obstructive parking, and improve sightlines and safety, the general effect of the Free Parking Places Order will be to introduce new lengths 'at any time' waiting restrictions as follows:
(a) Outside No.40 to No.48 Beaufort Park and outside No.49 to No.57 Beaufort Drive NW11.
(b) The Greenway NW9 - Northwest side -Outside No.95 to No.97 The Greenway (by upgrading the existing waiting restriction operating 9am to 4pm Monday to Friday).
(c) The Greenway NW9 - Northeast side -Outside No.92 Greenway (by upgrading the existing waiting restriction operating 9am to 4pm Monday to Friday).
(d) The Greenway NW9 - Southeast side - Outside No.102 to No.106 The Greenway (by upgrading the existing waiting restriction operating 9am to 4pm Monday to Friday).
(e) St Alphage Walk, HA8 - Northeast side outside the entrance to St Alphage Church.
In addition to the above, the general effect of the Orders will also be to introduce a new length of waiting restrictions operating 9am to 4pm Monday to Friday by converting a length of an existing resident permit holder only parking bay operating between the hours of 9am to 4pm Monday to Friday outside No.93 to No.95 The Greenway NW9.
A copy of the Orders, which will come into operation on Tuesday 21 November 2023 and the Council's Statement of Reasons for making the Orders can be obtained, for a period of 6 weeks from the date on which this notice is published, by emailing parking.consultations@barnet.gov.uk or by writing to the Design Team, Highways Section, 6th Floor, 2 Bristol Avenue, Colindale, London NW9 4EW.
Any person wishing to question the validity of the Orders or any of their provisions on the grounds that they are not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or any regulations made there under have not been complied with in relation to the Orders may, within six weeks of the date on which the Order was made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
