NOTICE OF PROPOSAL
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(VARIOUS ROADS, CHORLEY, FYLDE, HYNDBURN, LANCASTER, RIBBLE VALLEY, WEST LANCASHIRE AND WYRE) (REVOCATION, 20MPH, 30MPH, 40MPH AND 50MPH SPEED LIMITS) ORDER 202*

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Lancashire County Council propose to make the above Speed Limit Order under Section 84 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to:
1. Revoke the following:
a) The "Lancashire County Council (Blackburn Road, Burnley Road and Bury Road, Rossendale Borough) (Revocation and 30mph, 40mph and 50mph Speed Limit) Order 2012" insofar as it relates to Item a) of Schedule 3.
b) "The County Council of Lancaster (Restricted Roads) (No.1) Order 1962" insofar as it relates to the First Schedule.
c) "The Lancashire County Council (Various Roads, Langho, Ribble Valley Borough) (30 and 40 mph Speed Limit) Order 1990" insofar as it relates to Items 1) and 2) of Schedule 1.
d) "The Lancashire County Council (Snape Green and Various Roads, Scarisbrick, West Lancashire District) (40mph Speed Limit) Order, 1997" insofar as it relates to Items 1), 2) and 3) of the Schedule.
e) The "Chorley Borough Council Amendment Order 2006" insofar as it relates to a 30mph speed limit on the following lengths of road:
i. Chapel Lane, Wheelton, from its junction with Blackburn New Road, A674 for a distance of 175 metres in a south easterly direction;
ii. Kenyon Lane, Wheelton, from its junction with Blackburn Road to its junction with Cophurst Lane.
f) The "Lancashire County Council (A682 Manchester Road, Burnley Borough) (50mph Speed Limit) and (Revocation) Order 1994" insofar as it relates to Schedule 2.
g) The "Lancashire County Council (Clitheroe South Area, Clitheroe (Various Roads), Ribble Valley Borough) (20mph Speed Limit) Order 2012" insofar as it relates to Peel Street and Shawbridge Street.
h) The "Lancashire County Council (Whalley Old Road, Old Nab Road, Billington with Langho, Ribble Valley Borough) (Revocation, 30mph Speed Limit and Restricted Road) Order 2016" insofar as it relates to Whalley Old Road in Schedule 2.
i) The "Lancashire County Council (Fleetwood East Area, Fleetwood (Various Roads) Wyre Borough) (20mph and 30mph Speed Limit) Order 2014" insofar as it relates to Radcliffe Road in the Schedule.
j) The "Lancashire County Council (A682 Manchester Road, Clowbridge, Burley Borough) (Part Revocations and 40mph Speed Limit) Order 2008" in full.
k) The "Lancashire County Council (Daneshouse Zone, Burnley, Burnley Borough) (20mph Speed Limit) Order 2000" in full.
l) "The County Council of Lancaster (Restricted Roads) (NO.12) Order 1971" in full.
m) "The Lancashire County Council (Restricted Roads) (No.1) Order 1981" in full.
n) "The Lancashire County Council (Restricted Roads) (No.3) Order 1981" in full.
o) "The Lancashire County Council (Snodworth Road, Langho, Ribble Valley Borough) (Revocation and Restricted Road) Order 1998" in full.
p) "The Lancashire County Council(The Farthings Area Zone, Astley Village, Chorley Borough) (20mph Speed Limit) Order 2001" in full.
2. Introduce a 20mph speed limit on the following lengths of road:
a) Peel Street (U23044), Clitheroe, the entire length;
b) Radcliffe Road, Fleetwood, the entire length.
3. Introduce a 30mph speed limit on the following lengths of road:
a) Greenhalgh Lane, Greenhalgh with Thistleton, from a point 535 metres easterly then south easterly of its junction with Back Lane for a distance of 168 metres in a Southerly direction;
b) Lodge Lane, Bryning with Warton, from its junction with Lytham Road for a distance of 515 metres in a north westerly then north easterly direction;
c) Snodworth Road, Langho, the entire length;
d) Kenyon Lane, Heapey, from its junction with Copthurst Lane to a point 211 metres north west of its junction with the centreline of Blackburn Road;
e) Cat Tail Lane, Scarisbrick, the entire length;
f) Greenhalgh Lane, Greenhalgh with Thistleton, from its junction with Back Lane for a distance of 345 metres in an easterly direction.
4. Introduce a 40mph speed limit on the following lengths of road:
a) Manchester Road, Dunnockshaw, from a point 284.5 metres north of its junction with the Centreline of Springfield Lane for a distance of 120.5 metres in a northerly direction;
b) Burnley Road, Dunnockshaw, from a point 284.5 metres north of its junction with the Centreline of Springfield Lane to its junction with Burnley Road, Loveclough;
c) Burnley Road, Loveclough, Rossendale, from its junction with Burnley Road, Dunnockshaw to its junction with Burnley Road, Crawshawbooth;
d) Burnley Road, Crawshawbooth, Rossendale, from its junction with Burnley Road, Loveclough to a point 43 metres north of the Centreline of Goodshaw Avenue;
e) Whalley Old road, Langho, from a point 192 metres southwest of its junction with the centreline of York Lane to a point 20 metres southwest of its junction with the centreline of Snodworth Road;
f) Park Lane, Winmarleigh, from its junction with Park Lane, Forton to its junction with Park Lane, Cabus;
g) Park Lane, Cabus, from its junction with Park Lane, Winmarleigh to a point 6 metres south of its junction with the centreline of Snapwood Lane;
h) Park Lane, Forton, from its junction with Garstang Road, Cockerham to its junction with Park Lane, Winmarleigh;
i) Garstang Road, Cockerham, from a point 160 metres south of it junction with the centreline of Cockerham Road to its junction with Park Lane, Forton;
j) Greenhalgh Lane, Greenhalgh with Thistleton, from its junction with Fleetwood Road for a distance of 650 metres in a westerly then north westerly direction;
k) Lodge Lane, Bryning with Warton, from a point 515 metres north westerly then north easterly of its junction with Lytham Road to its junction with Carr Lane.
5. Introduce a 50mph speed limit on the following lengths of road:
a) Cockerham Road, Cabus, from its junction with Park Lane, Cabus to its junction with Lancaster New Road, Cabus;
b) Park Lane, Cabus, from point 6 metres south of its junction with the centreline of Snapwood Lane to its junction with Cockerham Road, Cabus;
c) Manchester Road, Dunnockshaw, from its junction with Manchester Road, Burnley to a point 400 metres north of its junction with the centreline of Springfield Lane;
d) Manchester Road, Burnley, from a point 182 metres south of its junction with the centreline of Crown Point Road to its junction with Manchester Road, Dunnockshaw.
