What is happening?

BURY COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984, SECTION 14(1) THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH OF BURY (BRADLEY FOLD ROAD, RADCLIFFE) TEMPORARY CLOSURE ORDER 2023

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Metropolitan Borough of Bury have made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from proceeding along:-

Bradley Fold Road, Radcliffe - between Church Street and Bury New Road/Bury & Bolton Road)

The reason for the proposed order is to facilitate contractors carrying out electricity works.

The alternative route will be via Church Street, Cockey Moor Road, Starling Road and Bury & Bolton Road and vice-versa.

The Order will come into operation on Wednesday 22 November 2023 and shall remain in force for a period of up to 3 months, although the anticipated duration of the works is 2 weeks.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984, SECTION 14(1) THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH OF BURY (PARSONS LANE, BURY) TEMPORARY CLOSURE ORDER 2023

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Metropolitan Borough of Bury have made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from proceeding along:-

Parsons Lane, Bury - from a point 35m west of its junction with John Street for a distance of 20m in a westerly direction (outside ATS Euromaster) The reason for the proposed order is to facilitate contractors carrying out water valve repair work.

There is no alternative route (no through road).

The Order will come into operation on Monday 20 November 2023 and shall remain in force for a period of up to 1 month, although the anticipated duration of the works is 3 days.

THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH OF BURY (ELTON VALE ROAD AREA, BURY) (20MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2023

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bury Metropolitan Borough has made the above named Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as follows:-

20MPH SPEED LIMIT APPLYING TO THE FOLLOWING STREETS:

Street Elton Vale Road Length Full length (including adopted length) Full length

Street Foulds Avenue Lodge Side Length Full length (unadopted)

A copy of the Order which comes into operation on Monday 15th January 2023 , a plan showing the roads and areas affected and a statement of the Council's reasons for making the Order may be requested by email at liafficxalming@bury.gov.uk quoting reference TM23/18/393

If you wish to question the validity of the Order or any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act, or any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order, you may within 6 weeks of 16th November 2023 apply to the High Court for that purpose. Please note that all representations received may be considered in public by the Council and that the substance of any representation together with the name and address of the person making it could become available for public, inspection.
