What is happening?
ABERDEENSHIRE COUNCIL
ELLON – TEMPORARY CLOSURE
“The Aberdeenshire Council (Castle Road, Waterton, Ellon) (Temporary Closure to Vehicular Traffic) Order, 2023” has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984. The order will operate from 20/11/23 for 19 days and will prohibit any person from driving on Castle Road, Waterton, Ellon.
Access will be provided for emergency and vehicles requiring access to properties but may be subject to delay until the road is cleared of construction plant to allow safe passage through the works.
The temporary restriction is necessary in the interests of public safety during trial pit works. An alternative route is available via Castle Road, Market Street, Bridge Street, Golf Road, A948, A920, Castle Road and vice versa.
