1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on 9th November 2023 the Council of the City of Newcastle upon Tyne made an Order under Section 84 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.

2. The effect of the Order, which will come into operation on 27th November 2023, is to introduce a 20 miles per hour speed limit on the lengths of road specified in the Schedule to this Notice.

(ii) (On Street Parking Places) Order 2009 (Kenton Bankfoot Area Variation) Order 2023

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on 9th November 2023 the Council of the City of Newcastle upon Tyne made an Order under Sections 32, 35, 45, 46, 49, 53, 63 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 which amends the City of Newcastle upon Tyne (On Street Parking Places) Order 2009 (“the 2009 Order”).

2. The effect of the Order, which will come into operation on 27th November 2023, is to -
(a) designate the lengths of road specified in the Schedule to this Notice as Permit Parking Place Zones. The Permit Parking Place Zones will be in operation during the period when traffic signs are displayed on street in connection with any event (any sporting event or other activity held at either the Newcastle Falcon’s Rugby Club or the Bullocksteads Playing Fields, and either (i) likely to give rise to more than 2,000 spectators; or (ii) which, in the opinion of the Chief Officer of Police, would give rise to such a level of attendance as would compromise road safety and/or cause access problems in the area). The Permit Parking Place Zones will be added to the 2009 Order and therefore the provisions and conditions of that Order will apply to them.

NOTE Resident parking permits will be available for each eligible property (a maximum of 2 per property) which will exempt permit holders from the restriction.

A visitor parking permit may also be issued to eligible residential properties (a maximum of one per property). Permits may also be available (if they would cause no unreasonable detriment to resident parking) for any property occupied by a business or charity (maximum numbers apply). Details of permit issue/renewal, conditions of use, discounts and types of permit are contained in the 2009 Order.

Permits will be issued for Parking Zone KP3 in respect of Broadfield Meadows, Parking Zone KP4 in respect of Eden Park Court and Parking Zone KP5 in respect of Foxfield Close.

Permits will be free of charge to residents for a period of 10 years after which time residents will be responsible for payment of the charge for the permits.
Eligible Properties for the Issue of Permits: Broadfield Meadows - All properties, Eden Park Court - All properties and Foxfield Close - All properties.
(b) add Nos. 1 and 2 Brunton Farm Cottages, Brunton Lane to the list of Eligible Properties for Parking Permits in the KP1 Parking Zone.
