(CONSTRUCTION OF ROAD HUMPS) 2023
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Blackpool Borough Council in accordance with the provisions of Section 90c of the Highways Act 1980, The Highways (Road Humps) Regulations 1999 and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police proposes to place speed humps of the dimensions shown in Schedule 1 in the positions described in Schedule 2 below:
Schedule 1 Type and Dimension of road humps
Longitudinal Profile: Round-topped, Transverse Profile: Tapered, Height: 75mm, Length: 3700mm, Side Ramp Width: 150mm, Channel Width: 200mm.
Schedule 2 Location of road humps (distances measured to the centre of the road hump)
Road Hump 1 Gorse Road, 1.85m west of the property boundary between Nos. 6 and 8. Road Hump 2 Gorse Road, 1.85m west of the property boundary between Nos. 24 and 26. Road Hump 3 Gorse Road, 0m from the property boundary between Nos. 42 and 44. Road Hump 4 Gorse Road, 1.85m east of the property boundary between Nos. 52 and 54. Road Hump 5 Gorse Road, 1.85m east of the property boundary between Nos. 65 and 67. A copy of the plan detailing the proposals and a statement of reasons may be inspected at Customer First, Municipal Buildings, Corporation Street, Blackpool, FY1 1NF, please telephone 01253 477477 to make an appointment to view the documents.
Any objections and representations relating to the proposal must be made in writing stating the grounds for any objection and should be sent to either the Head of Transportation Highways, Blackpool Council, PO Box 4, Blackpool, FY1 1NA or by email to traffic.management@blackpool.gov.uk, quoting the title of the notice before 5 pm on 8th December 2023. Please note that the Council may consider all representations received in public and that the substance of any representation together with the name and address of the person making it could become available for public inspection.
