What is happening?
WARRINGTON BOROUGH COUNCIL
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 Notice is hereby given that, in not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice, the Council intends to make Orders under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Widnes Rd, Dans Rd, Farnworth Rd, South Ln & Derby Rd (Prohibition of Driving) Temporary Order 2023
The effect of which will be to introduce a prohibition of driving as follows: Widnes Rd from its jct. with Farnworth Rd Roundabout Road to its jct. with Dans Rd; Dans Rd from its jct. with Widnes Rd to its jct. with Dans Rd Roundabout; Farnworth Rd from its jct. with Farnworth Rd Roundabout Road to its jct. with South Ln; South Ln from its jct. with Farnworth Rd to its jct. with Derby Rd; Derby Rd from its jct. with South Ln to its jct. with Watkinson Way. The Order will be effective from 3rd December 2023 for 1 day, however it is anticipated that the closures will only be in place between 7am & 4pm. The alternative route will be via Widnes Rd, Warrington Rd, Penketh Rd, Sankey Way, Liverpool Rd, Warrington Rd, Watkinson Way, Fiddlers Ferry Rd & vice versa. The restrictions are required to allow demolition works to Fiddlers Ferry Power Station to be carried. Ref: 4885976
Wilkinson St Passageway rear of 76 to 122 (Prohibition of Driving) Temporary Order 2023
The effect of which will be to introduce a prohibition of driving on Wilkinson St Passageway rear of 76 to 122 from its jct. with Richardson St to its jct. with O'Leary St. The Order will be effective from 4th December 2023 for 1 week. The alternative route will be via O'Leary St, Norris St, Richardson St & vice versa. The closure is required to allow United Utilities to carry out water main connection works. Ref: 4898908
Winwick Link Rd & Winwick Ln (30 MPH Speed Limit) Temporary Order 2023
The effect of which will be to introduce a 30 miles per hour speed limit restriction on the following lengths of road: Winwick Link Rd from its jct. with Waterworks Ln to its jct. with Winwick Ln; Winwick Ln from its jct. with Winwick Link Rd to the Borough Boundary with Wigan. The Order will be effective from 27th November 2023 for 18 months. The restrictions are required to allow for highway works associated with the Parkside Development to take place. Ref: 4898708

Cross Ln & Lady Ln, Croft (Prohibition of Driving) Temporary Order 2023
The effect of which is to introduce a prohibition of driving as follows: Cross Ln from its jct. with Warrington Rd to its jct. with Lady Ln; Lady Ln from its jct. with Cross Ln to its jct. with Mustard Ln. The Order will be effective from 20th November 2023 for 12 weeks. The works will be carried out in phases, Phase 1 Cross Ln & Phase 2 Lady Ln, with only one phase being implemented at any one time. The alternative routes will be as follows: Cross Ln via Warrington Rd, Glaciers Ln, Wigshaw Ln, Mustard Ln & vice versa; Lady Ln via Cross Ln, Warrington Rd, Glaciers Ln, Wigshaw Ln, Mustard Ln & vice versa & via New Ln, Smithy Ln, Lord St, Mustard Ln & vice versa. The restrictions are required to allow Electricity North West to install a new electrical cable. Ref: 4514160
Norris St & Orford Ave, Orford (Prohibition of Driving) Temporary Order 2023
The effect of which is to introduce a prohibition of driving as follows: Norris St from O'Leary St to its jct. with Orford Ave; Orford Ave from its jct. with Norris St to its jct. with Orford Ln. The Order will be effective from 20th November 2023 for 3 days, between 9:30am & 2:30pm. It is anticipated the works will be completed in one day but are weather dependent. Local access to residential properties will be maintained at all times. The alternative route will be via O'Leary St, Marsh House Ln & Orford Ln & vice versa. The restrictions are required to allow for the removal & renewal of various road markings. Ref: 4620388
The temporary restrictions will be in place as & when the signs are in place on site. Access will be under the control of the relevant Contractor for the duration of the works.
The Borough of Warrington (Traffic Management) (Civil Enforcement) Consolidation (Amendment No. 60) Order 2023
Notice is hereby given that the Council proposes to make an Order under Sections 1, 2, 4 & Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 & of all other enabling powers. The effect of the Order will be as follows: -1. The Borough of Warrington (Traffic Management) (Civil Enforcement) Consolidation Order 2018, is hereby further varied or amended as follows:-
(a) In the 3rd Schedule by the deletion of: No waiting at any time: Sankey St (Both Sides) - From its jct. with Bold St for a distance of 16.3m in a westerly direction; Sankey St (South Side) - From a point 62.8m east of its jct. with Springfield St for a distance of 26.2m in an easterly direction.
(b) In the 40th Schedule by the deletion of: Waiting limited to 30 minutes, Monday to Saturday 8am to 6:30pm, no return within 1 hour: Sankey St (South Side) - Between a point 89m east of its jct. with Springfield St & a point 21.6m west of its jct. with Bold St.
(c) In the 71st Schedule by the deletion of: No loading & unloading at any time: Sankey St (South Side) - From a point 62.8m east of its jct. with Springfield St for a distance of 26.2m in an easterly direction.
(d) In the 73rd Schedule by the deletion of: No loading & unloading between the hours of 8:15am to 9:15am & 4:30pm to 6:00pm, every day: Winmarleigh St (West Side) - Between a point 13.3m south of its jct. with Sankey St & a point 14.4m north of its jct. with Hanover St.
(e) In the 96th Schedule by the deletion of: Hackney Carriage Stand Clearways: Sankey St - Stand on south side between Bold St & Legh St.
(f) In the 3rd Schedule by the addition of: No waiting at any time: Sankey St (North Side) - From its jct. with Bold St for a distance of 16.3m in a westerly direction; Sankey St (South Side) - From a point 62.8m east of its jct. with Springfield St to its jct. with Bold St.
(g) In the 71st Schedule by the addition of: No loading & unloading at any time: Winmarleigh St (West Side) - From a point 13.3m south of its jct. with Sankey St for a distance of 45m in a southerly direction; Sankey St (South Side) -From a point 62.8m east of its jct. with Springfield St to its jct. with Bold St. Ref: 120846
The Borough of Warrington (Various Prohibitions & Revocation in Town Centre) Order 2023 Notice is hereby given that the Council proposes to make an order under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4 & Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 & of all other enabling powers. The effect of which will be as follows: -
1. The Borough of Warrington (Legh Street/Sankey Street/Bold Street and Adjacent Streets) (Traffic Management) (Part 1) Order 2007 is revoked in so far as it relates to Schedule 1 (One Way Traffic) Part i) as follows:

Order 2007 is revoked in so far as it relates to Schedule 1 (One Way Traffic) Part i) as follows:
Bold St from its jct. with Sankey St to its jct. with Egypt St in a north to south direction.
2. To prohibit any Motor Vehicle proceeding on Winmarleigh St from making a left-hand turn at its jct. with Sankey St. Pedal Cycles will be permitted.
3. To prohibit any Motor Vehicle proceeding on Stanley St from making a right-hand turn at its jct. with Barbauld St. Pedal Cycles will be permitted.
4. To prohibit any Motor Vehicle from proceeding on Sankey St between a point approx. 8m east of its jct. with Legh St & Bold St, except for buses, taxis & for access.
5. To prohibit any Motor Vehicle from proceeding on Bold St between Sankey St & the gable end of No. 10 Bold St, except for buses, taxis & for access.
6. To prohibit any Motor Vehicle from proceeding on Barbauld St (between Stanley St & Wilson Patten St), in any direction other than a northerly direction (south to north). Pedal Cycles will be permitted.
7. Motor Vehicles are permitted to proceed on Barbauld St in a north westerly direction only, from Wilson Patten St to Stanley St.
8. To prohibit any Motor Vehicle from proceeding on Bold St (between Sankey St & the gable end of No. 10 Bold St), in any direction other than a southerly direction (north to south). Ref: 120846

Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1976 Revocation of Stand for Hackney Carriages Notice is hereby given that the Council proposes to exercise its powers conferred by Section 63 of the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1976 to revoke the following Hackney Carriage Stand:-
Location - Sankey St, South Side - From a point 21.5m west of its jct. with Bold St for a distance of 5m in an easterly direction. Hours of Operation - 24 hours. Number of Spaces – 1.
