Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily to all traffic: A) Manor Lane (Part), Baydon; from its property known as Brookfield to its property known as Shalom to enable Scottish and Southern Power Distribution to carry out Joint hole in carriageway, 4m road crossing and 13m trench in unmade for new connection. Alternative route via Manor Lane (unaffected length) - Ermin Street - Aldbourne Road - Manor Lane (unaffected length) and vice versa. B) B3087 High Street (Part), Pewsey; from its junction with Brunkards Lane for a distance of approximately 75m in a westerly direction to enable Openreach to carry out access to underground structure, cabling for new customer connection and other associated work. This Order will come into operation on 10 December 2023 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 for 1 day. No alternative route is available. This Order will come into operation on 20 November 2023 and the closure will be required for 3 days. This Order will come into operation on 18 November 2023 and the closure will be required between the hours of 23:20 and 09:10 for 1 night and the closure will be required again on 20 November 2023 between the hours of 23:15 and 05:15 for 1 night. This Order will come into operation on 20 November 2023 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 for 1 day. And to temporarily introduce a 40mph speed restriction on the following length of road: A350 Southbound (Part), Kington Langley and Langley Burrell Without; from its junction with Plough Lane to its roundabout junction with West Cepen Way to enable Gigaclear to carry out a lane closure of A350 (southbound), to safely install ducting and associated works. Alternative route via B4069 - Kilverts Way - A350 and vice versa. The closure, diversion route and speed restriction will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. This Order will come into operation on 11 December 2023 and the closure and speed limit will be required between the hours of 19:00 and 06:00 until 15 December 2023. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works. The Order will have a maximum duration of 18 months. B) Footpath 26, Worton; from its junction with High Street to its junction with Footpath 13, Worton to enable Construction of residential development, planning consent ref: PL/2022/08551. Alternative route Follow the southern boundary of the development site, entering and exiting the development boundary by utilising the existing gap in the hedge at point "B" and the existing stile at point "A". See enclosed plan. This Order will come into operation on 20 November 2023 and the closure will be required for 06 months. This closure which follows an emergency notice will come into operation on 24 November 2023 and the closure will be required for 06 months. ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 THE COUNTY OF WILTSHIRE (C18 FREES AVENUE AND HYDE LANE, MARLBOROUGH, PRESHUTE AND OGBOURNE ST ANDREW) (40MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2023
Notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council proposes to make the above Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to revoke The County of Wiltshire (C18 Frees Avenue and Hyde Lane, Marlborough) (40mph Speed Limit) Order 2015 and re-enact it in the above Order for administrative purposes and to introduce a 40mph speed limit on C18 Frees Avenue, Marlborough, Preshute and Ogbourne St Andrew - from a point 25 metres south east of its junction with UC 167101 School Lane, Ogbourne St Andrew to a point 525 metres north west of its junction with The Common, Marlborough. Deposit copies of the Order, plans and Statement of the Council's Reasons for proposing to make the Order may be inspected at the offices of Wiltshire Council, County Hall, Bythesea Road, Trowbridge during normal office hours.
