What is happening?

(THE SHORE, BOLTON LE SANDS, LANCASTER CITY)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)(No.3) ORDER 2023
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Lancashire County Council have made an Order under Section 14(1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic on the roads set out in this notice.
1. No person shall cause any motor vehicle or cycle to proceed over that length of The Shore, Bolton le Sands for a distance of approximately 20 metres either side of the level crossing.
2. Nothing in this order shall apply to persons engaged in the carrying out of the works.
3. The prohibition will be operative on the following times and dates:
I. 2340 hours on Saturday 18th November 2023 until 0930 hours on Sunday 19th November 2023.
II. 2340 hours on Saturday 16th December 2023 until 0930 hours on Sunday 17th December 2023.
III. 2305 hours on Sunday 24th December 2023 until 0440 hours on Wednesday 27th December 2023.
IV. 2305 hours on Sunday 31st December 2023 until 0440 hours on Tuesday 2nd January 2024.
V. 2340 hours on Saturday 6th January 2024 until 0930 hours on Sunday 7th January 2024.
VI. 2340 hours on Saturday 13th January 2024 until 0930 hours on Sunday 14th January 2024.
4. An alternative route for vehicular traffic affected by the closure is via:-
St Michaels Lane, A6 Byepass Road, A6 Coastal Road, Shore Lane, Pasture Lane, The Shore and vice versa.
The temporary prohibition is necessary to allow level crossing works to be carried out.
