C50 BURNHOUSE ROAD WOOLER
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2023
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on the following sections of highway in the County of Northumberland:
C50 Humbleton Junction To Burnhouse Road A Wooler from its junction with the A697 heading in a south easterly direction for a length of 1016 metres.
C50 Burnhouse Road Wooler from its point with Humbleton Junction to Burnhouse Road A heading in an easterly direction for a length of 229 metres.
The Order is to be effective from the 20th November 2023 until the 1st March 2024.
It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 20th November 2023 until the 1st December 2023 between the hours of 09:00 until 16:00 during this period, however, if excavation is required, the road may be closed at all times. The Order however will remain in place until the 1st March 2024.
The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via the South Road, Cottage Road, A697 Cottage Road To Akeld and vice-versa.

The closure has been requested by GoFibre to test, rod and rope, desilt, clear blockages and if required any duct overlay works.
In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.
