NOTICE OF MAKING OF AN ORDER
THE DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO. 8 (PART) –
PARISH OF WHITWELL
PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION ORDER 2023

THE ABOVE ORDER made on 2 November 2023 under Section 119 of the Highways Act 1980 will divert the whole width of that part of Whitwell Parish Public Footpath No. 8 commencing at Point A (Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (“GR”) SK 5068 7565) and proceeding in a generally east north-easterly direction for approximately 272 metres to field boundary at Point B (GR SK 5094 7573), then in a generally easterly direction for approximately 328 metres across three fields to track at Point C (GR SK 5126 7576), a total distance of 600 metres or thereabouts to a 2-metre wide footpath with a surface of earth and grass at Sheffield Road in Whitwell Parish, commencing from the aforementioned Point A and proceeding in a generally east north easterly direction across field for approximately 291 metres to Point D (GR SK 5094 7578), then in a generally easterly direction on grass track for approximately 339 metres to Point E (GR SK 5127 7573), then in a generally northerly direction on grass track for approximately 30 metres to the aforementioned Point C, a total distance of 660 metres or thereabouts as shown on the Order map.

Documents can also be seen free of charge at County Hall, Matlock during normal office hours where copies may be bought at the price of £1.00 or at Whitwell Library, Whitwell Community Centre, Portland Street, Whitwell, Worksop, S80 4QR during normal opening hours.
Any representation about or objection to the order may be sent to the Director of Legal and Democratic Services, Derbyshire County Council, County Hall, Matlock, Derbyshire, DE4 3AG or by email to Angela.Greatorex1@derbyshire.gov.uk not later than 14 December 2023. Please state the grounds on which it is made.
If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, the Derbyshire County Council may itself confirm the order as an unopposed order. If the order is sent to the Secretary of State for the Environment for confirmation any representations or objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the order.
