WESTERGATE ROAD, STROOD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2023
Notice is hereby given that Medway Council have made an Order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable a new electrical connection to be made -
Westergate Road, Strood - to be closed to all vehicular traffic between the junction with Orchard Avenue and the junction with Gorse Road. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be provided and signed.
This Order will come into force on Friday, 24 November 2023 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Friday, 24 November 2023 and are programmed for completion within two weeks. The Order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

(VARIOUS AREAS) (WAITING, STOPPING AND LOADING RESTRICTIONS) (AMENDMENT NO.8) ORDER 2023 NOTICE OF MAKING
Butlers Park Way (Medway Gate), Church St (Hoo St Werburgh), Dalison Crt (Halling), Everest Drive (Hoo St Werburgh), The Glebe (Cuxton), High St (Halling), Horace Rd (Medway Gate), James Rd (Cuxton), Rileys Park Drive (Medway Gate), Sealand Drive (Medway Gate), Vicarage Lane (Hoo St Werburgh), Wood St (Cuxton), Woodhurst Cl (Cuxton)
Notice is hereby given that Medway Council on 10 November 2023 made the abovementioned Order under sections 1, 2 and 4 of, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.
The general effect of the Amendment Order, which comes into operation on 20 November 2023 will be to introduce lengths of No Waiting at any time in the roads as detailed below:
1) Butlers Park Way – North-west side: (a) 120m length south-westwards from the Cuxton Road roundabout, (b) 15m north-eastwards from Rileys Park Drive then (c) 25m BUS STOP clearway; (d) 114m length south-westwards from Rileys Park Drive to opposite Sealand Drive;
2) Church Street – West side, 32.2m northwards from Everest Drive junction, past The Chequers public house (No.26) to its car park entrance;
3) Dalison Court – (a) North side, 14m eastwards from the High Street junction; (b) Northwest and north sides, 13.5m north-eastwards opposite Nos. 1-2 up to the east kerb outside No.1; (c) South side, 25.8m eastwards from the High Street junction;
4) Everest Drive – North side, 7.8m westwards from Church Street junction;
5) The Glebe – South side, 15m eastwards from No.27 in front of the private land / garages;
6) High Street, Halling – (a) 10m northwards and 10m southwards from Dalison Crt junction, east side; (b) 67.7m and 63.3m south-westwards of Howlsmere Close junction, over the railway bridge towards the A228, north-west and south-east sides respectively;
7) Horace Road – (a) North-west, 16.7m outside Nos.2-6 on the block paved ‘chicane’; (b) South-east side, 16.9m outside Nos.1-5 on the block paved ‘chicane’;
8) James Road – Both sides, extend the double yellow lines northwards by 7.7 metres;
9) Rileys Park Drive – (a) North-east side, 15.5m north-westwards from Butlers Park Way; (b) south-west side, 15.5m north-westwards from Butlers Park Way then 5m on the corner;
10) Sealand Drive – North-east side, 15.1m on the corner by No.80
11) Vicarage Lane – West side, 3 lengths of double yellow lines to create parking places between No.22 and Marine Drive (25m, 20m, 25m);
12) Wood Street - East side, 8.2m length northwards from Woodhurst Close junction to No.11;
13) Woodhurst Close – North side, 20.1m length eastwards from Wood Street junction, outside No.11.
Copies of the Order and of other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Order can be requested by sending an email to parkingdesign@medway.gov.uk or by writing to Parking Design team, Medway Council, Gun Wharf, Dock Road, Chatham, Kent, ME4 4TR before the end of a period of six weeks from the date on which the Order was made.
Persons wishing to question the validity of the Order or any of its provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the 1984 Act, or that any requirement of the Act or any instrument made under the Act has not been complied with, that person may, within six weeks from the above date on which the Order was made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.

(THE VINERIES, GILLINGHAM) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2023
Notice is hereby given that Medway Council have made an Order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to install a new telecoms pole -
The Vineries, Gillingham - to be closed to all vehicular traffic between the junction with Firethorn Close and for a distance of 30 metres in a northerly direction. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. No alternative route is available. Emergency access will be maintained.
This Order will come into force on Monday, 27 November 2023 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Monday, 27 November 2023 and are programmed for completion within four nights (with works taking place between 8pm and 6am). The Order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

(RIGGALL COURT, CUXTON) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2023
Notice is hereby given that Medway Council have made an Order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable a new electrical cable to be installed -
Riggall Court, Cuxton - to be closed to all vehicular traffic across the frontage of Court Lodge. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. No alternative route is available. Emergency access will be maintained.
This Order came into force on Monday, 13 November 2023 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works were due to commence on or after Monday, 13 November 2023 and are programmed for completion within five days. The Order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

(NORTHUMBERLAND AVENUE, RAINHAM) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2023
Notice is hereby given that Medway Council have made an Order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable water supply repairs to be carried out -
Northumberland Avenue, Rainham - to be closed to all vehicular traffic across the frontage of 12 Northumberland Avenue. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be available via Tufton Road, Suffolk Avenue and Northumberland Avenue.
This Order will come into force on Monday, 27 November 2023 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Monday, 27 November 2023 and are programmed for completion within five days. The Order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed. (MAIDSTONE ROAD, ROCHESTER) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2023
Notice is hereby given that Medway Council have made an Order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable a high friction surface to be laid over the pedestrian crossing -
Maidstone Road, Rochester - to be closed to all vehicular traffic between the junction with Kings Avenue and the junction with Shaws Way. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be provided and signed via City Way.
This Order came into force on Wednesday, 15 November 2023 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works were due to commence on or after Wednesday, 15 November 2023 and were programmed for completion within one night (with works taking place between 7pm and 7am). The Order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

MODIFICATION OR FORMALISATION OF CERTAIN MOVING TRAFFIC PROHIBITIONS NOTICE OF MAKING (PRESCRIBED ROUTES) (VARIOUS ROADS) TRAFFIC ORDER 2023
Notice is hereby given that Medway Council on 13 November 2023 made the abovementioned Order under sections 1, 2 and 4 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.
The general effect of the Order will be to modify or formalise certain moving traffic prohibitions and restrictions on roads in Medway with the intention of providing a robust basis for camera enforcement of these restrictions by way of Part 6 of the Traffic Management Act 2004. The prohibitions and restrictions included in the Order are detailed in the Schedule to this Notice.
Copies of the made Order, which will come into force on 20 November 2023, and of other supporting documents, may be inspected at the front reception, Medway Council, Gun Wharf, Dock Road, Chatham, Kent, ME4 4TR during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive (except for bank and public holidays) until the end of a period of six weeks from the date on which the Order was made. Alternatively, electronic copies of the documents can be requested by sending an email to parkingdesign@medway.gov.uk
Persons wishing to question the validity of the Order or any of its provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the 1984 Act, or that any requirement of the Act or any instrument made under the Act has not been complied with, that person may, within six weeks from the date on which the Order was made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.
Schedule
(1) ‘no vehicles’ point restriction operating between 10am and 4pm on Saturdays: (A) from BOLEY HILL, ROCHESTER into HIGH STREET, ROCHESTER; and (B) in NORTHGATE, ROCHESTER, applying to south-westbound vehicles, at a point 18 metres north-east of High Street, Rochester;
(2) ‘no vehicles’ point restriction operating ‘at any time’ except for access to off-street premises between 10am and 4pm on Saturdays: from CORPORATION STREET, ROCHESTER (at its north-westernmost junction with High Street, Rochester) into HIGH STREET, ROCHESTER;
(3) pedestrian zone operating ‘at any time’ except for loading between midnight and 10.30am and between 5.30pm and midnight throughout the week: (A) in HIGH STREET, GILLINGHAM, between Britton Street and Skinner Street; and (B) HIGH STREET, GILLINGHAM, between Skinner Street and King Street and extending into 14.5 metres into JAMES STREET, 43.5 metres into SAPPERS WALK and 27.5 metres into GREEN STREET (side streets off of High Street, Gillingham);
(4) banned left turn except for pedal cycles and banned right turn except for pedal cycles: from BOLEY HILL, ROCHESTER into HIGH STREET, ROCHESTER;
(5) banned right turn for all vehicles: from HIGH STREET, RAINHAM into ORCHARD STREET, RAINHAM;
(6) no entry prohibition: (A) in HIGH STREET, ROCHESTER, applying to south-eastbound vehicles at the north-western wall of Guildhall Museum, No. 17 High Street, Rochester; (B) from BRITTON STREET, GILLINGHAM into HIGH STREET, GILLINGHAM; and (C) from THE BROOK, CHATHAM into HIGH STREET, CHATHAM (the length lying north-west of that junction)
(7) one-way system: (A) north-westbound: in HIGH STREET, GILLINGHAM, between Skinner Street and Britton Street; and (B) north-westbound: in HIGH STREET, ROCHESTER, between Boley Hill/Northgate and the north-western wall of Guildhall Museum, No. 17 High Street, Rochester.
