Bath And North East Somerset Council (Public Footpaths Ba23/8 & Ba23/9, Wellow Road, Shoscombe) Public Path Diversion Order 2023
The above order, made on 9 November 2023 under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980, will divert:
1. The public footpath running from a junction with Wellow Road at ST71865721 and proceeding in a generally SE direction for approx 75m to ST71915716, to a line running from a junction with Wellow Road at ST71885721 and proceeding in a generally SE direction for approx 65m to ST71925717 and then turning in a generally SW direction for approx 6m to the parish boundary at ST71925176 and then continuing in a generally SW direction for approx 6m to ST71915716;
2. The public footpath running from a junction with Wellow Road at ST71865721 and proceeding in a generally S direction for approx 209m to ST71885700, to a line running from ST71915716 and proceeding in a generally SSW direction for approx 158m to ST71885700, as shown on the order map.
A copy of the order and the order map have been placed and may be seen at https:// www.bathnes.gov.uk/services/streets-and-highway-maintenance /public-rights-way/notices- and-consultations or free of charge at The One Stop Shop at The Hollies, High Street, Midsomer Norton during normal (opening) office hours. Copies of the order and map may be bought from the Council at the price of £5.00 – to purchase please telephone the Public Rights of Way Team on 01225 477649.
Any representations about or objections to the order may be sent in writing to the Public Rights of Way Team, Bath and North East Somerset Council, Lewis House, Manvers Street, Bath, BA1 1JG or by email to PROW@bathnes.gov.uk not later than 13 December 2023. Please state the grounds on which they are made. Please note that all representations received may be considered in public by the Council and that the substance of any representation together with the name and address of the person making it will become available for public inspection
If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, the Bath and North East Somerset Council may confirm the order as an unopposed order. If the order is sent to the Secretary of State for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs for confirmation any representations or objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the order.
