What is happening?
CITY OF WESTMINSTER - TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURES
Vehicles will not be allowed to wait at any time in any of the below closed roads or roads made one-way. Any vehicle obstructing the road/crane works will be removed. Nothing in the Orders shall apply to anything done with the permission of, or at the direction of, a police constable in uniform.
THE FOLLOWING ROADS WILL BE CLOSED TO VEHICLES for road works, all in 2023 unless stated. Every effort will be made by the contractor to complete the work as soon as possible.
Buckingham Palace Road between Southbound between: Elizabeth Street and Ebury Bridge on 30 January 2024, by FM Conway for Council: Reactive Repairs and Asphalt Relay. Div = Elizabeth Bridge, St George’s Drive, Warwick Way, Belgrave Road, Buckingham Palace Road, Grosvenor Gardens, Hobart Place, Eaton Square, Sloane Square, Lower Sloane Street, Pimlico Road. Grafton Street between site address 11-14 Grafton St W1, closed j/o Albemarle St - Dover St, on 22 - 26 January 2024, back-up dates 29 January to 2 February 2024, by Thames Water for Utility: 4X Water Disconnections, 3X separate trenches sut water main cut off connections. Sussex Street between Cumberland Street and Sutherland Street on 27 November - 8 December 2023, by Cadent Gas Ltd for Utility: To replace gas pipes that have been found in the C/Way outside 33-36 Sussex Place. The pipes have been identifies as requiring urgent renewal due to deterioration. Div = Cumberland Street, Sutherland Row, Sutherland Street. HIGH56531.
THE FOLLOWING ROADS WILL BE CLOSED TO VEHICLES during mobile crane work on one, some or all the stated dates, all in 2023 unless stated. Every effort is made by the crane company to complete the work as soon as possible.
