Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
TUNBRIDGE WELLS AREA
BALLARDS HILL, CRANBROOK (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER NOVEMBER 2023
To allow pole replacement works to be carried out Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Ballards Hill, Cranbrook, on or after 22nd November 2023 for up to 2 days between the hours of 08:00 and 16:00, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from outside Dunley Cottage for 45 metres south east, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Ballards Hill, B2079 North Road, West Road, A262 Clay Hill, A262 Station Road, A262 Speldmonden Road, A262 Goudhurst Road, B2162 Horsmonden Road, B2162 Lamberhurst Road, Goudhurst Road, Ballards Hill and vice versa.
BARROW LANE, ROYAL TUNBRIDGE WELLS, TN3 0BN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER DECEMBER 2023
To allow cabling and jointing works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Barrow Lane, Royal Tunbridge Wells, on or after 10th December 2023 for up to 1 day between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the junction with A264 Langton Road for 450 metres southbound, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Barrow Lane, A264 Langton Road, Holmewood Ridge, Hither Chantlers, Barrow Lane and vice versa.
BIRLING ROAD, ROYAL TUNBRIDGE WELLS, TN2 5HS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER NOVEMBER 2023
To allow overhead cabling works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Birling Road, Royal Tunbridge Wells, on or after 21st November 2023 for up to 1 day between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the general vicinity of number 27, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Birling Road, Forest Road, B2169 Bayham Road and vice versa.
COMMERCIAL ROAD, PADDOCK WOOD (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER NOVEMBER 2023
To allow the Christmas lights event to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Commercial Road, Paddock Wood, on or after 26th November 2023 for up to 1 day between the hours of 11:00 and 19:00, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions with Old Kent Road and Station Road (War Memorial), to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Commercial Road, Station Road, B2016 Maidstone Road and vice versa.
CRYALS ROAD, MATFIELD, TN12 7HH (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER DECEMBER 2023
To allow drainage works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Cryals Road, Matfield, on or after 8th December 2023 for up to 1 day between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the junction with teh A21, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Cryals Road, A21 Hastings Road, Beech Road, Cryals Road and vice versa.
DELMONDEN LANE, HAWKHURST TN18 4XJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER DECEMBER 2023
To allow repair works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Delmonden Lane, Cranbrook, on or after 5th December 2023 for up to 3 days, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the general vicinity of Delmonden Grange, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Delmonden Lane, A299 Horns Lane, A299 The Moor, A299 Moor Hill, A299 Highgate Hill, A268 High Street, Delmoden Lane and vice versa.
FAIRMANS LANE, TONBRIDGE, TN12 7BB (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER NOVEMBER 2023
To allow pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Fairmans Lane, Brenchley, on or after 24th November 2023 for up to 5 days between the hours of 08:00 and 16:00, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the general vicinity of Paygate Cottage, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Horsmonden Road, Brenchley Road, The Heath, B2162 Lamberhurst Road, Tong Lane, Green Lane, Tong Road, Fairmans Lane and vice versa.
GOLFORD ROAD, BENENDEN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER NOVEMBER 2023
To allow installation works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Golford Road, Benenden, on or after 27th November 2023 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the junction with Golford Road, Cranbrook, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Tenterden Road, Cranbrook Road, Benenden Road, Goddards Green Road, Golford Road and vice versa.
GREEN, LANE, CRANBROOK (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER DECEMBER 2023
To allow pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Green Lane, Cranbrook, on or after 6th December 2023 for up to 1 day between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed 240 metres south of the junction with Jacksons Way, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Green Lane, Goddards Green Road, Frogs Hole Lane, Halden Lane, Green Lane and vice versa.
HARMONY STREET, ROYAL TUNBRIDGE WELLS, TN4 8NT (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER NOVEMBER 2023
To allow chamber works to be carried out Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on / part of Harmony Street, Royal Tunbridge Wells, on or after 20th November 2023 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the junction with Upper Street, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The one-way Order on Harmony Street will be temporarily suspended, to allow for access.
The alternative route is via Harmony Street, Rusthall Road, Apsley Street, Woodside Road and vice versa.
HAWKENBURY ROAD, ROYAL TUNBRIDGE WELLS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER NOVEMBER 2023
To allow pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Hawkenbury Road, Royal Tunbridge Wells, on or after 22nd November 2023 for up to 1 day between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from outside Hawkenbury Farm House for 300 metres east, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Hawkenbury Road, Benhall Mill Road, Forest Road, Hawkenbury Road and vice versa.
HAYESDEN LANE, BIDBOROUGH, TN3 0LL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER NOVEMBER 2023
To allow pole testing works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Hayesden Lane, Bidborough, on or after 28th November 2023 for up to 1 day between the hours of 09;30 and 15:30, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions with B2176 Penshurst Road and Ensifled Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Hayesden Lane, Gate Farm Road, Bidborough Ridge, B2176 Penshurst Road and vice versa.
JARVIS LANE, GOUDHURST, TN17 1DL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER DECEMBER 2023
To allow pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Jarvis Lane, Goudhurst, on or after 8th December 2023 for up to 1 day between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions with B2084 Chequers Road and Mile Lane, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Jarvis Lane, B2084 Chequers Road, A262 Cranbrook Road, Mile Lane, Jarvis Lane and vice versa.
NINEVEH LANE, CRANBROOK (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER DECEMBER 2023
To allow pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Nineveh Lane, Cranbrook, on or after 6th December 2023 for up to 1 day between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed for 120 metres west of the junction with Spring Lane, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Nineveh Lane, Attwaters Lane, Water Lane, A229 Hawkhurst Road, B2086 Swattenden Lane, B2086 Cranbrook Road, Babbs Lane, Nineveh Lane and vice versa.
ROLVENDEN ROAD, BENENDEN, TN17 4BU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER DECEMBER 2023
To allow electrical connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Rolvenden Road, Benenden, on or after 4th December 2023 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the general vicinity of Beacon Hall House,to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

SPONDEN LANE, SANDHURST, TN18 5HR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER DECEMBER 2023
To allow overhead works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Sponden Lane, Sandhurst, on or after 6th December 2023 for up to 1 day between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the junction with A268 Megrims Hill for 915 metres northbound, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Sponden Lane, A268 Megrims Hill and vice versa.
STANDEN STREET, CRANBROOK TN17 4HD (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER DECEMBER 2023
To allow pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Standen Street, Cranbrook, on or after 6th December 2023 for up to 2 days between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed 70 metres south of the junction with Mill Street, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Standen Street, Woodcock Lane, Dingleden, B2086 Rolvenden Road, B2086 The Street, Iden Green Road, Standen Street and vice versa.
TIDDYMOTTS LANE, CRANBROOK TN17 1AT (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER NOVEMBER 2023
To allow pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Tiddymotts Lane, Cranbrook, on or after 21st November 2023 for up to 2 days between the hours of 08:00 and 16:00, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the junction with Balcombes Hill to outside number 1 South View Terrace, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Tiddymotts Lane, Maypole Lane, Balcombes Hill, Tiddymotts Lane and vice versa.
